I will try to start it tomorrow. If I can't get this to the dealer let them figure this out. And then starts the bs with the loaner. I bought this car I didn't lease it. Wasn't expecting this from bmw maybe a range rover but not this .

been looking into getting a x7 but this seemingly widespread issue is scaring the crap out of me. Can someone shed a bit more light on exactly this issue is?

Like is it a faulty part with its replacement being made in a different way? Or its just a part that will inevitability fail? And what exactly is a brake booster?

I never thought brake issues won't allow the vehicle from starting . Now it's being towed to the dealer to figure out what's wrong. By what iam seeing every one saying it's the brake booster. Not sure how that affects the car from Not starting. Unless the brakes are so hard to press down it's not allowing the trigger the brake release to start the car. The brakes are very hard to press down. Have no idea what they will do at the dealership to get it started.

From what I notice is the car is in limp mode for protection and im guessing thats part of it. I manage to get mine started after playing with it for 15 minutes.

What did you do to get it started? It took the tow truck driver over 20 minutes just to put it in Neutral. How in God's name did you start it?

Was towed today at 5 pm to the dealer. I am guessing this has something to do with the highway driving assist models 2023 2024 . Brake booster and vacuums . They should recall all these or stop producing them untill they fix this problem. Dealer told me they have 2 coming in every day for past month.

Tried alot of things open hood , which worked once. Cycle on and off the ignition and a bunch of randon things. After it started it would not go into gesr until i rev it. Pretty strange and weird.

Totally forgot about how long it took once I got into the car…BUT, as soon as I got home I noticed scuffs and dents in the front and rear bumpers with the paint chipped off.

Notified the manager; let’s see what they say tomorrow.
Maybe being a "Karen" to them, as you stated previously, really wasn't the most effective approach.

Thats what I thought too, tech’s note said will be released at a later time. Figure he was soo done with my car 😂. Car was in for brake booster and call system malfunctions .Idrive 8.5 would of been so nice to have but settled to have the car home instead.

LOL well I took the Karen approach again and said I want “new parts not repairs”… let’s see what they break when it goes in this time… 🤷🏽‍♂️

My '23 X7 60 has been repaired 2 times and it just flashed the warning again. This brake booster should be a recall. Scared to drive it...again.... 3rd time to be towed. Lemon law???

Sorry to hear, definitely should be bought back at that point.

I’m hoping I don’t get those errors again.

Let us know the process of the buyback once they start.
