Trick Question, as everyone knows the best BBQ is in Memphis.

I'm studying to become a civil engineer and my professor throws out enormously complicated diffrential equations (advanced calculus) for extra credit twice a semester. No one could claim the last one, so just for fun I had Rebecca from BMW Concierge do it for me Let's just say that next semester, I know where to go for help. Forget 'student services.' lol

The $4.95 fee is if you use services through the 'SOS button.' Technically you should be able to get the same information from the toll-free concierge number at no charge. It might take a little longer, but it's worth not paying. The only thing I would use it for is traffic, because that constantly changes especially here in Chicago. But then again, why not just listen to the radio?

I've found that BMW Concierge is also great with solving quadratic equations!

PHP Code:
The traffic data is polled from all BMW cars on the roadthey know everyone's speed and location

NO WAY! I have never heard of such a system; not that at some time in the future it wouldn't be possible. When you call assist with the SOS button it sends your location at that time; obviously if you've been in a horrible crash, that won't change. When I activated my Assist I hit the button while still at the dealer; by the time she asked if I was there based on the info sent I was up the road quite a ways. Your car does not constantly send its location to BMW.

Acura supposedly has some traffic system linked to XM or something. I use the Sirius traffic/weather station; it cycles between St. Louis and Chicago every 4 minutes; so far it's been pretty good. I have heard that using the automatic toll pay transponder (IPass in Ill), they could conceivably monitor your location anywhere they installed sensors. Think about that when you're somewhere you might not want to be found out.
