"Tire change recognized" - Is this normal?

Is this normal for a new car? Do I need to reset the TPMS?

They must have remounted wheels on different corner(s).
Edit: oops, realized your message probably relates to PSI setting and not the correlation of TPMS with its' correct corner.

Initially I would reverify system using idrive and not the apps.

1) I would reverify tire types installed to make sure they match what is configured in the system using iDrive. (See attached).
2) Next I verify the tire pressure to make sure the actual reading is for the tires installed. If they are the original tires then you should have recommended pressures on your driver side door sidewall.
3) If anything don't match make necessary adjustments.
4) once I reverify everything is okay, I would reset the TPMS and drive few hours.
5) Monitor correct tire pressure on iDrive with everything green
6) finally reopen BMW connect apps and read the status.

Thanks for the info. My car was literally just built and has 30 miles on it. I will try resetting and see what happens

Sure you can do that....The only reason I made the recommendation was the message says "Tire Change Recognized.." Just want to mke sure everything matches....

It's normal. I changed from my winter to summer set and forgot to make the changes in I drive and it said tire change recognized. So I made the change in I drive and it went away
