$1k deposit down. How soon can I track status?

Dealer charged $1k last week for a 2022 X7 M50i. Its going to be my very first BMW. I was told my order is in September production plan. How soon can I track status?

Instead of $1k deposit receipt, am I suppose get some documents? Contract?
I did sign a selling price agreement and webpage screen shot of build configuration.
I did not test drive in this particular dealer.

Create an account on bmwusa.com get the order # from the dealer and you should be able to track right away.

Just a document stating the build spec and the agreed upon sale price should suffice.

Thanks. In general, How soon can I get a port production number?

The production number is a 7 digit number. It should be on the confirmation sheet the dealer sends you showing they submitted the build to the factory.

Should get it either when you put the deposit down and signed the purchase agreement or a day or two after.
When I order my X7, I got the production/order # the next business day.

Thanks. I don't why the dealer still don't send to me if he said he ordered the day I put deposit down (about a week ago).

Is some game he was playing with me? He did mention it's going to be September production slot.

Seriously, just call the dealer and ask them what the production number is.
