Continue to wait for brake booster 23 x7

It is July 6th 2023 and my new 2023 x7 is still in service for a "brake booster" as I showed in my screenshots. The dealer has had it 10 days and there is no eta as I was told it is still on back order through Germany. I see many of you have waited for your brake booster. If you finally got it, how long did it take to arrive? Thanks!

I’m approaching 7 weeks. Bad news is my car is 1300 miles from home. Really frustrating. Sorry but this seems to be a significant problem

3 weeks for me. Based on IL lemon law I believe they have 30 days to fix it.

Good luck with the Lemon law approach. I’m just going to wait til after I get my car back. BMW won’t do anything til that point. Was told from start it would be 8 weeks due to parts back order. Get BMW customer relations on board early and create a case log.

might be lucky after all; dealer called - part arrived at warehouse and car should be ready later next week. they apparently ordered 7 of the parts expecting more issues.

Hello again to the other unfortunate customers dealing with this dang brake booster. I have the screenshots of the issue above and I continue to wait. My car was towed in June 27th and it is July 12th. I still wait with no date as far as other than "on backorder with no eta". While I have loved that car for several months 2023 X7, I am considering selling it or seeing how long it has to be kept. In addition to the dealer telling me weekly that it is on order with no eta., can any of you who have posted and gotten the Brake Booster in tell me how long it eventually took? I can't help but question whether I need to keep it or sell it based on all the issues so many people seem to have with the 2023 and 2024 x7s. I am so sad and disappointed. I even called BMW North America yesterday to see if they could give me a better idea of an eta. Nope. I have been given a loaner of an x3 and can't fit my 6 other friends in it on a long trip and we had planned to use my car. Nope. I do not consider the x3 compared to my x7 comparable. Grrrrr.

Well the ETA they gave me of the 10th was just bullshit.. just told today they don’t have a timeframe and it’s on order.

Same issue with the brake booster on my 2024 M60i. It’s been at the dealership since 6/30 and has 600 miles. Brake booster is back ordered with no ETA from service advisor. Created case with BMW NA today. Anyone receive the part recently or have more info on backorder timing? Process is very frustrating with no end in sight.

It's odd because I brought my X7 in two days ago to BMW of Brooklyn (I'm also in the NYC area) and they told me my brake booster is bad but "part is available and will be here within 24hrs".

another dealer told someone the part would be in in a week, that time came and went. i suspect they dont really know, theres a huge backorder of the parts, unless they got a very large shipment out. i guess if 24 hours comes and goes, you know they're blowing smoke.

24hrs came and went. “If part is not in by tomorrow morning, let’s talk alternate transportation.”

lol. I should’ve listened to all the folks on bimmerpost saying BMW of BK is BS. Should’ve gone to Rallye BMW out in Long Island. They wouldn’t have been scared to use the word “loaner” instead of “alternate transportation”. “Go f*** yourself.” in dealer speak.
I had a horrible experience with them in the early 2000s when their service dept was over in canarsie. Never went there again. Was debating on bmw of manhttan or bmw of brooklyn for my next service, im pretty much equal distance from both. This helps.

Just got mine back today; 6 weeks.
Totally forgot about how long it took once I got into the car…BUT, as soon as I got home I noticed scuffs and dents in the front and rear bumpers with the paint chipped off.

Notified the manager; let’s see what they say tomorrow.

Still waiting for X7 60 for over 3 weeks. Always garaged now in a dealer parking lot. Not happy. They do have brake boosters being installed on the assembly line. They should fix ours 1st.

I don’t know if i feel comfortable with the ones from the assembly line, since those are likely to fail. I want a new and updated part.

2024 x7 m60 I 550 miles brake malfunction

Started about 3 days ago something with parking brake. Called dealer they said to wait and see if problem continues bring in the car. This morning I couldn't even start the car brakes were to hard to press. From what I am reading it has to be a brake booster or vacuum. Either way this is some bs. If the car don't start how in God's name they going to tow this out of my garage? Down slope sigh.

This is what happen to my 24 m60i as well. Start after pressing for while and harder. If you do mange to start it , it will drive in limp mode. I drove like this to the dealer nerve racking nevertheless. Its most definitely brake booster and parts will take 3weeks+ if they dont have any on hand.

I will try to start it tomorrow. If I can't nothing I can do at this point. Hopefully I can get it to the dealer and then starts the nonsense with the loaner car I can see this be a nightmare allready.
