Would you be open to selling the wheels themselves without the tires? If so, how much would you be asking for?

Not willing to separate them at this time. I'll reach out if I decide to separate them.

What price for local pickup? Also, are the tires summer or all-season?

Lack of interest might come from people who are looking for 21” wheels for more comfort, better performance and 22”s wheels are a big hassle to find A/S or winter tires. They might sell better if you post them on FB marketplace or Craigslist in states like AZ or southern CA. where they see little weather. Good luck, they are indeed a great looking wheel.

I was working with a buyer and found out that shipping through normal means (FedEx, UPS) is crazy high. As of right now, shipping will be unavailable. Price updated to $3000 for local meet.

Just curious, what are they charging to ship them? Fed-ex is supposed to be pretty easy to deal since you can just take them the wheels and they pack them or is that UPs?

From Wisconsin to Ohio, UPS charges a little over $1200 for packaging and shipping. The closest box UPS had was 36"x36"x24". The rear wheel is 31"x31"x16" and 90lbs. My local FedEx did not have boxes big enough, so I couldn't get a quote, but they estimated over $1300.

Wow, that’s nuts. I recall someone shipping out wheels for $150ea., from TX to TN a little over a year ago and those were 18” wheels wrapped in 285/70r18 Ridge Grapplers.

You don't put the entire wheel in the box. Last time I had rims and wheels sold to me they seller cut cardboard and protected the front wheel and tire on both sides and then wrapped it with plastic wrap from Home Depot. I did the same thing when I sold it later on, I paid roughly 200$ for all 4 wheels.

yup, this is how tire rack ships their sets:

its a double layer of double wall cardboard on the face with a sheet of closed cell foam to prevent scratching. there's a single layer on the back

you could use strapping tape instead of the welded nylon that TR uses.

i looked up, to ship ups, a 32X32X12, 90lbs, DV of 800, comes out to $163 from socal to NY (this is probably the furthest trip the shipment would need to go)

Yea, that's how I would ship it too. Online quotes differ significantly from local shops. Shipping was only $600 total from a quote online, but when you bring it into the shipment shops, they don't accept the online quotes and even refuse to take your shipment, mostly because it's wheels. I've shipped wheels in the past, and if the shipping company knows they are wheels, they automatically charge you extra and say it's because they have to be more careful with your shipment (strait up lie). Usually I'm able to find a box and when I ship it in a box while hiding the fact that it's wheels. The X7's wheels are the largest wheel's I've ever had to ship and finding a box that would fit is extremely difficult.
