Don't rely on the online tracker. I am sure you have called BMW Genius to get the production end week/date for your order? If not, call them they have somewhat reliable information about your order.

Thanks, I just called them and my order is supposed to be done by the end of the second week in June.

VIN is assigned when your order goes from Production scheduled to production begins, which typically happens 10-14 days before the production end date.

My 50i just arrived at the dealership. How long does it take to prep for pick up? I thought I read somewhere on the forums they have some programming to do.

It took my dealership about 48 hours to get everything ready for me to pick up but YMMV

What date did you order your 50i? I put in my order on 5/8 and I am trying to get a rough ballpark figure on when it will arrive to the dealership. Especially with supply issues affecting the production plant these days.

When I called the BMW genius he said the second week in June so is that week 23? Based on today’s date I’m not sure that date is going to happen.

It still there on my build in my garage but is that accurate given all the changes that are happening day to day? I checked off every option on my build except captains chairs in the second row so I hope they would tell me if certain options I checked were no longer available.

Apparently once your order goes into "production begins" status, your features/options are locked in. You or BMW won't be making any further changes to the order. So at this time, you will get whatever you see under" your selected options" in "My Garage"
