Alpina XB7 with Pirelli Scorpions for Winter
I got a set of the 21" Alpina wheels and put Scorpions on them for the winter. Doesn't handle as well (or look as good) as the 23's but overall I am impressed with them. Will be interested to see how they do in the snow.

I was having that debate with myself and I wasn’t sure how the family was going to react to my decision. I decided to leave the beautiful 23’s on my XB7 and got me a set of beadlock ready wheels with 35 inch BFG tires to make it through the winter. And since the Ram TRX that came with them is such a capable truck my XB7 ain’t gonna see any bad weather. And since all the family turned out to be nuts over the truck there has been no down side to it. Other than not getting to drive it because the wife and or kids are always in it.

I went from 23" alpina to the 21" package dealer recommended. Wish I did what you did as it looks better. Handling is MUCH different, but the ride is also softer. |

I do miss the ride/handling of the 23’s! It’s a little softer like you say but doesn’t feel as special. But worth it to use all year round. Will be excited to switch back in the spring!

Are there 23" dedicated winter options? I can't seem to find any TireRack or similar sites.

No one makes them to my knowledge. Looked quite a bit and in the end that’s why I bought the 21” Alpina wheels and went that route. Just swapped them out again the other day for this winter.

This topic is on my mind since I strongly prefer the appearance of the 23" wheels, but a lack of snow or all-season tires in those sizes means having to budget and allocate garage storage space for some kind of winter solution. |

I have done 22" on both our X7 and RRSC without issue. Dedicated winter tire does just fine for what I am doing with the vehicles however I do agree a 20" or 21" would be optimal but when going for fashion and function I stick with the 22".

Agreed and as I stated above I go for both function and fashion.
