Ruby Red M50i has arrived

Figured I would start a new thread since the other one had a ton of questions and back and forth.

Last weekend we picked up a 2022 X7 M50i in Ruby Red. It's my wife's car I traded in my 750i and I am keeping her X5 for now until I decide what I want to buy.

Anyway here is the build sheet as well as some pics when it first arrived, when they were cleaning it up as well as one with my wife, son and soon-to-be daughter at the end of this month picking the X7 up.

LOVE this color even more in person than on the paint chips. So fun to finally get a car with some color again. As much as I wanted tartufo, the Cognac looks great on this car, only wish they would offer it in Merino, but getting the leather dash helps.

Anyway, enjoy. I will get more detailed pics as I start playing with the car more. While its only 3 years newer then my 7 was, the tech has gotten so much better, I do wish we had ID8 but this works just fine. The only delete was the iDrive controller not being touch, everything else works fine.

Looks great!

In the last pic, looks like the bikes are touching the roof, maybe that is an optical illusion!

Looks fantastic! I'll be ordering a '23 in the exact same color combo as soon as the allocations are released!

Optical illusion, they are no where near the roof, they are hanging between the garage door rails between the first and second doors.

X7 looks awesome! How do you like the 22" wheels?

On a completely different note, what is the bicycle storage lift, and where did you get it?

Thanks! The 22's actually ride fine. Think DHP helps a bit because the ride feels better then the X5 on 20"

Here is the bike lift

Congrats! Finally you got your car. Your wife will enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying mine now.

Beautiful color and I really wish you could've gotten the merino leather.

Drool…. Should be a standard color (or at least one of the $2k series colors)

If you have not seen the cognac in person, you should. It is not orange like it looks in photos. I was not a believer myself but it looks great in person and goes especially well with darker colors. Not merino of course.

I've seen them all in person. Test drove a MW X7 with Tartufo Merino which looks worse (to me) than cognac in person. But still, that Ruby Red is simply stunning!!!

Looks great, love the color!

I noticed on the pricesheet as well as the BMW website that the cold weather packages lists "Heated front and rear seats" as a major feature. That almost implies without it the front seats aren't heated, but I don't believe that's the case. My understanding is Cold Weather gets you heated rear seats and 5-zone, what if anything does it do to the front seats?
