Tire pressure settings for 22in DWS 06 all season
Just swapped to 22in staggered set up all seasons on a 20 M50I
When I went to to adjust the tire pressure, I noticed the summer/all season selection doesn't have any options for 22in rims. The door insert seems way too low. The summer tire recommended setting is 37/45. I might be missing something but curious what the recommended setting is for others. I'm in the north east of that matters. I also think something might've been off with the sensor at the last place I filled up bc filled to 37/45 but somehow, the cold reading is 39/47. Do I need to go let some air out, or is that ok? |

I just use 38/44 on my '19 xDrive50i with those tires. I think your 39/47 is within spec, and I personally wouldn't let air out. However, I'm in Texas and drive mostly highway miles.

whats the benefit of running 39/40 on the fronts if the reccomended is 37? I'm assuming going slightly below 37 would be better from getting flats/rim damage since I'm in the northeast with horrible roads

i tend to run a few psi more- to lessen the possibility of sidewall damage, although sometimes not much u can do.
sidewall damage happens when the tire bottoms against the rim, the counter is more pressure instead of less pressure. pressure for a given size should be the same regardless of all season or summer performance at a high level.
