In my mind I see an X7 M50 type setup coming first - an M Performance type setup like they did with X3 M40. BMW gauged interest with it and it's been doing very well! X7 being so much bigger could be a different thing.
It is coming next year with the X5 both models replacing the 50i. In fact they previewed it and there are photos on the net as well as badging.

All it takes is one store to advertise a discount and before you know it the mooches will show up and you’ll be selling at or below cost.

Let’s not forget the brokers.

If GM actually listened to the interior complaints.... Cadillac is gonna be a force to be reckon with.... I guess my point is that it’s going to be GREAT competition in the next couple years as manufacturers are focusing on SUV which will result in Greatly cheaper rates for us customers

Personally my opinion... Audi has the best interiors at the moment. They were able to blend technology with luxury very well. Only issue with Audi specifically the Q7.... as a young guy ther exterior is ugly, I look at it the same way as most people look at Buick... for old people. The Q7 needs a refresh and badly because BMW, Cadillac, Mercedes, and even Volvo is going to leave them in the dust

This segment will become more competitive. In addition to the new GLS coming.

1. Lincoln will have the Aviator in mid 2019, this is comparable in size to the X7. I saw it at the LA auto show. The x7 is nicer, but the aviator has plenty of bling and seem bigger inside.

2. Cadillac will introduce a 3 row cross over this week. This will be similar in size to the Buick Enclave which is bigger than the X7. Also new Escalade will come in 2H 2019 as a 2020 model with independent rear suspension.

3. Audi will facelift the Q7, I would not expect much change in exterior, but the interior will get an update.

Aviator is based on an Explorer platform, so not bigger than the X7. Aviator is closer to compete with X5. The Navigator is the big boy competition from Lincoln to fight the X7.

Enclave is a Chevrolet Traverse underneath, which is also a mid-size SUV. Not really a direct competitor size wise for the big X7.

Though both cars can offer 7 seats, it won't be in the same way that the X7 does. That said, really looking forward to new Escalade as a competitor - that'll give the X7 some competition!

The Traverse is bigger inside than an x7. It's longer and has 20 cubic feet of cargo space behind row 3. The Traverse/Enclave have more 3rd row leg room than a Tahoe/Yukon and Escalade and more behind row 3 cargo space.

I saw the aviator at the LA auto show and the x7 as well. I measured the rear cargo space behind row 3. It's wider and deeper than the x7. Dynamically it will be closer to the x7 than a navigator.

Do you have residuals for 39 and 42 month ?

At CES I learned BMW will upgrade its driving assist hardware starting in 3/21. I'm sure the x7 will get the upgrade but not necessarily immediately at that time. I'd hate to have to get the old tech if my lease is too short.

me, personally, i just look at general trends in pricing and don't focus on outliers too heavily. some do, though, and for those, your comment doesn't really help much.

you may have an absurd money factor, they may be offering you that vehicle at invoice for mid summer delivery for example, etc. might be getting mugged on trade in, too. who knows.

some details might help those folks. my deal is locked in so doesn't affect me either way, but my 0.02

GM announced the Cadillac XT6 yesterday. I thought it would be big like the Traverse/Enclave but they made it closer in size to the GMC Acadia. C&D says the interior is not that great. This is more of a competitor to x5 rather than x7.

No trade in, not lease, using own finance, I was willing to put in the order to lock the price. It is the outlier I guess but I was happy to do 2k off too.

Anybody looking for one should use x5 incentives as a data point. They were blowing those out heavily discounted pretty much out the gate.

Not reasonable to expect same with X7, especially in context of target production being somewhere around 50% of the x5’s, but expecting a discount is not unreasonable at all no matter how you cut it

Can you please answer a question. What is needed for a loyalty discount/incentive? I've gone from a 3 series, to an X6, to an X7(X7 will be my third BMW).

Also, does that $1500 incentive come out of the dealership's pocket, or is that "big BMW" money?
