Local dealer wanted 5k markup! Was ready to put in an order too. What a total waste of time.

Seems strange that dealers think an x7 can be marked up like a rare desirable sports car...

Left a really bad taste in my mouth and I bet it would for a lot of others too. I feel like it would be in bmws interest to reign in these shady dealers on a car like this trying to break into ground where Mercedes is the king. So I didn't place an order and will try another dealer. If it's the same antics then I'm off to another brand. Who has time to play games on a 90k SUV. Wish BMW would smarten up!

I'm getting 4% off MSRP plus $1250 loyalty.

(BMWFS giving $2k discount on x5 but nothing on X7)

Think these will be at 10% discounts like the X5 in a few months?

You are probably right for the US market. It will be interesting to see if there are plenty of X7 production slots for Canada. There have always been minimal discounts on the GLS in Canada because Mercedes Canada doesn稚 get nearly as many production slots to what the US gets.

I hope so. I really want an x7 but these dealers are making it impossible. Makes no sense!

Bmw loses because of some idiotic dealers who think they can make an extra 5k

Looks good to me. What痴 your effective MF after all those sec deposits? Quick glance it looks like something might be off ( that you are borrowing for free , effectively).

I ordered an X740i a few weeks ago in Phoenix at MSRP at $89,595 and got it for $3,000 off MSRP. will lease at 12,000 miles at .00188 money factor and residual at 58%. Had to put $2,500 down to order. Should be here mid-April. Three dealers in the Phoenix metro area and put them up against each other for best offer.

Hello All:

I am kind of new to this, but can anyone tell me if this is a good deal:

X7 xDrive40i
MSRP (as built plus handling/deliver of $995) is a total of $84,335. Dealer will knock off $2,500 from this MSRP, bringing the selling price plus handling to $81,835. With all other fees, they gave me a quote of a total price at $90,566.15? Is that a good deal?

Also, when I first visited dealership, salesperson promised me a $1,250 loyalty discount since I currently own a 2014 BMW. Then when I came back, he clarified that he could not give me that discount if I was paying for the car with cash, and not financing through BMW. Is that legit? I am just worried about bait and switch.

Lastly, salesperson is telling me that he has only "one allocation" left and must know by the end of this week, or the deal may be gone. He says that he can get this vehicle built to my specs via "an allocation" He promised that if I committed and paid deposit, he could order the vehicle this week, and he guaranteed it would be ready and delivered to dealership within 6 weeks. Is that also legit? Or will I end up waiting months and months?

I have never dealt with car dealership sales folks. I have tried to avoid them for 20 plus years. So I honestly do not know what to believe.

One friend told me to jump on this. Another more conservative coworker said there is probably a catch and to not trust.

Any thoughts of any kind?

I hope I posted in the right forum.

Thanks!

- I have to wonder what kind of fees they're adding on to the car that add up to $9k. That's massive.

- Yes, an incentive may require use of BMWFS financing. If you're paying cash, an easy option is to just finance at least part of the car through BMWFS, stick the rest of your cash in a savings account, and then pay off BMWFS after a short bit. (I think they require a minimum of a few months financed)

- Yes, allocations get used up. It's a new car right now, and more "hot" than steady state. Based on what we're seeing here, now that production is in full swing, I would guess the 6 week estimate is reasonable.

Good luck with whatever you choose!

I was told that about $7782 of the additional fees were due to 9.2% sales tax, based on my zip code.

Any discount is a good deal. The availability is even better than most. I'd take that deal

According to my educated guesstimate, $1,176 before tax?

I pre ordered a X750
Dealer wants MSRP which is 111K and change. Was quoted 1675/mo 36 mos 10K/year with just drive off fees.
I知 not thrilled with the deal. I知 hoping that April lease rates are more favorable.
