How hard was it to install the lowering links? Any tips, I'm installing mine Tuesday next week. I want it to set a lot lower.
I had a shop do it so I can't comment on that. But reading the instructions it seemed simple enough and the only part I thought might be problematic is using the heat gun and removing the oem plastic link.

Nothing at all. I just took off the 22" Factory wheels after being on for 2 months and put the factory 21" wheels back on which are pictured above, both were ran with 20mm spacers.

Installed the lowering links this weekend and ran into an issue with the back end being stuck at max height and the front at lowest height. Followed instructions to the letter and took my time. Contacted the manufacturer for tips but he confirmed all was done correctly. I had to book an appointment to take it back to the dealer. I have since reinstalled the factory links but the issue still exists 😩

I didn't have that problem but try resetting the air suspension by (while car is on but engine off) holding up on the air suspension toggle for 7 seconds and releasing. The green light should be off. You hold the button again for 7 seconds to turn the system on again.

Tried that and it didn't work. But thanks. I asked the BMW dealer and he said there wasn't a quick fix scenario that I could try to fix it.

I did that before jacking it up. I had the ride height set at comfort level before locking it in. Then afterwards it was stuck in this position

I think 20mm all around is the way to go. Any other setup, just a waste of $$$ IMO.

Agreed. The other set ups are too modest and barely look like any changes were made. The 20mm gives it a great stance. It would look great if I could get the lower wrong links to cooperate with the vehicle 😩

20 all around looks good but I'm shooting for a subtler staggered look. Going 12/18 H&R

Did you ever get your lowering links working?

Never got them working. Installed exactly as instructions stated. Dealer fixed after I removed and installed the original links. I may take them to a shop and have it installed OR never put them on again

Switched it up again and now running 15mm front and 18mm rear. The look, to me, is now perfect.

Anyone tried spacers on the 23" Alpina wheels yet? Thinking of adding some on in the spring when I put the summer wheels/tires back on. Was thinking 10/12 but the 15/18 above looks great. I drive it mostly in Sport Plus which drops it to load height at all times. So just curious if someone else has already done this.

Keep in mind that proper spacer sizing depends on the wheel and tire specs. Some people posting have the non-staggered wheel and tire option. That wheel can accommodate a larger spacer than the staggered 275/315 wheels.

Exactly, which is why I was asking if anyone else had already done spacers on an XB7. The wheels are off right now and I probably need to get out a ruler and do some math to see what might work with the staggered setup.

I'm looking at spacers now. I picked up my 22 M50i last week and have the staggered 275/315 as well.

What brand spacers are people running? Also, it seems you have to replace the studs also, right?

Bought the emblems off eBay back in 2020. No longer available but I’m sure you can find something similar from a different manufacturer. Cost me $38

IND Industry sells them. They make good quality products. On the expensive side but good quality products compared to others that are cheaper.

Is this lowered here with 20mm all round? Exactly the look I’m going for, no rubbing or anything? Thanks
