Compared to this? No thank you. I dunno what direction BMW is going with their designs, but I don't really like it.

Yup. Quite happy I got the 2022 pre LCI. The M60i isn't totally terrible with the split lights and I can get onboard with it. But the 40i with the chrome accents looks all over the place.

Interior is really decent though!

Major refresh! I for one think it looks great. Only thing I dislike is the "M" badge in the grill of the M60.

That new color, sparkling copper grey metallic, is going to be a hit.

Now who told them to put that big M badge on the M60i grill?

Took me a while to get over the G80 grille. Idk if i can accept this new headlight design.

The split headlights make complete sense if you consider that the current head of design at BMW, Domagoj Dukec, came to BMW from Citroen. Citroens for a while now have all had the split-headlight thing.

So styling wise, BMW is now at the same level as a budget French car maker.

Why is it m60 instead of m50 with substantially the same output? Id get it if they all had the alpina tuned motor

Why are they adding m badges to the grill of a non m car?

(Marketing i know)

I hate the look now but i am sure it will grow on me and ill end up forking over for one of these.

Definitely gives off Hyundai Palisade vibes. It's not the worst thing I've seen, but I don't understand such a dramatic departure from a classic BMW face in the current model. And damn, gone is that beautiful crystal shifter.

RIP iconic angel eyes...

I have a 2022 x7 msport and I just showed my wife these pictures. She really liked it. Myself on the other hand, I am still on the fence. I have a bit of OCD with things being symmetrical and clean blah blah blah. I'm just shocked the front kidney grills are not more like the 4 series if BMW was going with these lights. The kidneys are still somewhat rounded yet the new lights have sharp angles and all. And the new headlights are clean and subtle, but the kidneys are so large and stand out. It's like the designer got confused on what they liked more. I think that's why my brain just can't make up its mind.

The interior though, love that they took the shifter out and made it flush with the console. Looks very clean. The dash, I don't mind either way. But again, if you are going with clean edges and simplicity, which the interior and headlights suggest, then the kidneys need redesign too. But the designer wanted both I guess. Lol.

I do like they actually made the exhaust tips on the M60i quad….front is ugly though.

going off of previously-released info, these are supposed to be S's

I'm trying to see the Palisade in this, but I'm pretty sure those of you saying it are dropping tabs

Not as bad as I thought it would be. Am drooling over the increased output of the 40i though.

It's honestly not as bad as I thought it would be. Split headlights I'll need to get used to.. but still very happy to get a my22 version.
