It's not as bad as I expected, but I just can't get behind BMW's design approach of "throw tons of random design elements at it so it stands out."
There's a reason it's the approach of budget brands and not luxury brands (including non-auto design). It also means it looks outdated fast. |

I didn't like the looks of the iX front end when I first saw pics. Yesterday while at the dealer getting my summer wheels put on they had an iX on display, and in person its really slick.
I also felt the same about the current x7 front end. I've owned one for almost 3yrs now. I'm gonna wait to see this one in person. |

Not hideous. Would hit. Although it does look like it was designed by AI.

As a heavy X7 enthusiast and owner, here's my $.02 on lots of details:
Looking forward to seeing the LCI in person and checking out all these things.

Looks like a little nod to E-chassis front ends with the headlights on. |

I like it but I prefer the non-m version. M extras make it too busy in my eyes

The split headlight design looks bizarre on the Genesis GV80, and it looks bizarre here too.

Here's what I'm wondering: What are these things? Redundant (physical) temperature switches?
Seems nice, but what's all that empty/wasted space around/between them? Headlights: Best I can say is that they're not as bad as I was expecting. But definitely not as congruent as traditional BMW design. Yet we'll all grow accustom to them anyway.

Going to be tough to upgrade…
I really wish they would adapt full autonomous driving like Cadillac's "super cruise".

Where'd you find those pics, Penguino ? Very nice. Those indeed are M multifunction seats, currently available on the X7 for foreign markets, but not in the USA. (dammit, I wanted them). Note the X5M rearview mirror caps in that pic too.

Looks amazing! Seems like they widened the rear end and added a bulge on the side which makes it more aggressive. Interior is amazing, wish they had changed the seats a bit more like the ix..

Was hoping to see that huge rear entertainment screen and - although highly unlikely - the return of night vision. But if we at least get the Bowers sound back, I can live with that. The design of the M60i is actually quite sharp...
