Yes, my wife has a '24 X5 with Idrive 8.5 and she got it. I have a '23 X7 with iDrive 8, and I did not get it.

Obviously 8.5 are the only ones who get it.

2024 XB7 with iDrive 8.5. 07/2024.40 did not add the Auto Stop/Start inhibit feature.

Our '25 40i is iDrive 8.5 and the auto-start options are present. Now that there is an option toggle it on / off, I wonder if this will be code-able item with Bimmercode?

I just installed this new update and it shows the ability to shut off the auto stop/start. I'll try it out my next drive.

GOT IT TODAY!!! I’m so thankful I turned the traction off to keep the engine from turning off in this south Texas heat. I’m so happy they put this option in!!!!! 2024 BMW X7 came with I drive 8.5. I also love that you can customize the widgets and turn on/off the seat cooling/heating with assistant. Great update!

2024 X7 M60i here and just did the update and we now have auto/stop. Too bad you can't deactivate it permantely. Once the vehicle restart you have to deactivate it everytime.

Do you mind sharing your production month/year. I wonder why some 2024 models are getting it but not others.

Mine is 11/23 so hopefully I get the auto stop/start deactivation with the new update. I just brought the car to the dealer for a open service action so they will probably do the update as well. I’m getting super tired of enabling traction mode multiple times during each trip cause it turns back on when using cruise control. At least with the Auto start/stop deactivation you only have to press it once each trip.

Didn’t know you could do that! That would be ideal. I haven’t really messed around with the gesture controls much. How do you assign a gesture to a specific action?

I had not either . Went into driving experience and found auto start stop and long clicked it . From there it will walk you through

Go to DRIVING settings. Then go to Drive train and chassis then you will see auti start/stop. This is only if you downloaded 8.5

I have a 2024 X7 M60 and everyone else seems to be getting the .40 version while mine says .55

My OTA update gave the me .55 version. Kinda weird cause everyone else I’ve seen has the .40 version.

Probably cause I'm in bloody EU...

But it's not a big deal, I just deactivate it via traction menu.

Hey, I'm in NZ with a 2024 X7 and the same thing happened to me! It's a bummer that this feature isn't available. Seems like our Aussie mates are in the same boat. Maybe it's a whole Oceanic region thing?

Nothing to do with EU! I am in EU and have 07/2024.40 with ASS!
