Woot! Hello again folks,

Cheers. ![]() |

I want everyone to order with the trailer hitch. It should be standard so when I pick one up used it has it already!

Just to add to the tow option:
The trailer hitch package is a no brainer for the X7. I have it only for the remote use of a bike rack or emergency tow/snatch point. That box hitch and all the accessories you can use for it really adds significantly more versatility you didn’t even know you need. Just get it. On a 4x4 as big and heavy as the X7, there isn’t any real good locations to use as a tow or pull point without causing body damage. The extra cooling radiator is also practically free for the option cost and makes the X7 more robust on general. This is a SUV and without a hitch seriously hinders its capabilities and makes it a tall luxury 7 series sedan. OP: you are going to love the B&W audio. ![]() Last edited by MystroX5; 09-12-2024 at 04:35 AM.. |

Keep in mind that you lose the kick-to-open functionality for the tailgate if you get the tow package, so choose whichever feature you expect to use more.
I think the only nobrain-er part about the trailer hitch is BMW's brainless design that forces you to choose between the tow hitch and the tailgate feature. In Mercedes and Audi you can have both.

Is this true? My Dealer (one of the largest BMW/Alpina Dealerships in the US) indicated that my order, an Alpina XB7 would NOT include a different/larger transmission cooler or brakes. So, does it vary by model within the X7 lineup? Or does the engine size/displacement affect the differences? I did try to search on Google, to no avail. I would appreciate it if you could clarify for me or send me the link, as I'd like to make sure to order my vehicle accordingly. Thank you for your assistance in this regard. |

It doesnt look like the LCI adds thes air to oil cooler anymore. the aux cooler in the passenger side wheel well is a water radiator (as it was on the prelci) as for brakes, the M50i/M60i has the largest brakes, 3AC or not. 395/398mm the 40i with msport brakes has the second largest- 395/370mm 3AC bumps the stock brakes from 348/345mm to 374/370mm

Kind of bummed that the production site doesn't show my wheels or shadowline, but regardless, we're in the queue!
