Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver Installation???

My 2020 x7 didn't come with a hitch setup and BMW quoted me $5k.
Anyone familiar with this company thanks.

I've bought several trailer parts from etrailer over the years. They sell name brand stuff and have good prices. No complaints about them. Stealth is a hitch manufacturer -- I have no experience with them, but I recall other form threads about their aftermarket hitches.

I just don't know why the BMW engineers couldn't fit this hitch to the vehicles that included the "foot kick" rear hatch open feature, FROM THE FACTORY!

I have read that it is included in non-USA models? Does that make any sense?

It doesn’t make sense to me as well. I mean if they had center exhausts then OK but the fact they make it for non-USA models, they should at least give us the option

$5K seems awfully high! But maybe I am not up with the times.

There is a lot of work that goes into installing if the hitch kit wasn’t installed during the original build. Others have quoted high prices like that in my research here. I didn’t want to spend several thousand so I made sure it was a must in my search before purchase.

Just thought I would mention that my hitch sticking out from the rear of my X7 has saved rear end damage while waiting in a line. A careless driver hit me resulting in considerable damage to their vehicle and none to mine.

I got it installed on my 2021 X7. Works great with a bike rack.

Looks good. I have a Stealth Hitch installed on my 2018 X5 and love it, use it for towing my track car. Looking to install one on the X7 as well, curious on how it works. Also curious if you opted for the active harness with yours as well? Do you tow or just a bike rack?

I got the hitch without the wiring harness. I don't remember the exact numbers, but X7s have lower tow ratings with non-factory hitches, so getting the wiring harness wasn't worth it in my case. I use the hitch with a bike rack only and it has been great. Installing and securing the attachment is PITA, but I don't do it too often, so I'm fine with that.
