TPMS warning seems to prevent DCT-Off: Heads up
Start of day 2 at Buttonwillow, temps were cold and tires were low because I had adjusted pressure over laps the day before and Low pressure warning came on.
I adjusted pressures back up when I got to the track. On my first session, I turned DCT off (as you do) but after a few seconds the DCT Off indicator on dash went off. At this point the TPMS still hadn't registered that the tires were back up to normal pressure. I tried it again a few times on first lap and it still kept turning off. I pitted after first lap and tried a few more times to no avail, so at this point I decided better to drive with DCT on that waste time in the pits. After about 1/4 of the next lap the TPMS light went off and I was able to switch DCT off. Seems like you need to clock a couple of miles to reset the TPMS.

That's strange. I have an 18 LCI that I'm currently running a winter wheel/tire package with no TPMS and I am still able to drive the car with no DTC

Might recognize lack of TPMS and behave differently...

I seem to remember that is correct - that warning is on and you can't turn off that - in fact, maybe sport mode is not avail? I remember at least one other thing not being avail.

There is a lot of info in the Track section of the forum that discusses what’s going on and how to work around it. |

edit- it also remains in this mode until you run TPMS, when i got back in my car the next time on a warm weekend, i had to run TPMS before the warning went away. So basically it "remembers" this issue |

Not in my car. My throttle changes between modes. Cant say I've ever noticed any change in steering though. When I start my car up, it is in Comfort, Hit sport, sport plus throttle increases. My last car had adaptive suspension, which changed steering response, I do not notice anything like that on the M2.

It is the case with my 18 LCI. I have no TPM in my winter wheels. I start my m2 and is in Comfort mode. Have a warning on dash which is a small circle. Switch to sport, or sport plus engine revs. I have never noticed any change in steering however in comfort/sprt/sprt plus. It seems the same in every mode to me including when I run summer wheels with TPM's.

Odd...I thought I was going to have problems after lunch (and letting the car cool down) as I checked pressures and they were all around 25psi...went out on tracked with disabled DSC and had no issues. I took a lap to warm everything back up to track temps...
Never experienced limp mode in the car all day... |

Got it. Mine is Oct 2016. Planning on doing an ISTEP update before I get on track this year. Will see if it changes anything.
