The RS4 is a great daily driver, one of the best IMHO, so I don't quite understand the rationale behind buying another car as a daily driver. I'm guessing to keep operating costs down?

As far as the A3 2.0T goes, the 2.0T is an awesome engine and the DSG is a slick setup. The biggest problem with the A3 2.0T for me is value, I'm not the only one with the same problem given the poor sales the car has experienced. The car is heavy and with all the torque the engine makes (even before chipping it) the car has TONS of wheel spin and under steers like theres no tomorrow. For daily driving, it is enjoyable and if you have the cash, I guess why not, but dollar for dollar, I'd rather put my money into MK V R32, base A4 2.0T, or 328i. Now if they offered it with Quattro, it would be an ENTIRELY different story, but the only quattry offering in the us is the 3.2, which is nice, but doesn't offer the upgradiblity and the cost is tough to swallow, especially given the MK V R32 pricing.

-Adam

PS - I'm a former owner of a MK V GTI (which is nearly identical to the A3).

haha thank you. In regards to why the RS4 is not a daily driver is one i am a younger guy and I get a lot of road rage while driving the car which is why the tint is so dark. Also the places i work and drive to, the people do not respect the car what so ever and because the cars means a lot to me i feel that if i have the ability to take a car that is more suitable for what i do then why not do that. Of course I will still drive the RS4 and all that but the A3 is just a lot more suitable for me every day. Not to mention costs like you said but when i got the rs4 i knew the costs were going to be high but its worth it for me when driving it. But i love the a3 and i think it is a car that is not respected for its true capability i mean i have driven lots of cars and this one is a great car, i enjoy driving it a lot, i mean sure its no Rs4 or anything but i love it and i don't regret the decision.

dude. whoa. that's a serious collection of (german) cars.

i assume you'll be getting the new M3 when it comes out too? or any thoughts of selling two of them in order to buy a porsche (in keeping with the german theme) or something?

Waleed. You know what this means.. I get to drive the A3 after the Rs4 drive. Should I even throw out the idea of a p shoot with the a3?

Maybe we will wait untill I get the white M5 to go along with the white a3.

Love the new car man!
