I've had my new-to-me 2017 M2 for 5 months now. Original owner had MHD 2+, FMIC, and catless downpipe on it. I flashed it with BM3 Stage 1, 91 octane, then put the original cat on it. Ran a few pulls in 3rd gear to get some baselines.

I then flashed it back to the stock M2 tune. I didn't have a copy of the original factory tune on the car, so I used the BM3 stock M2 tune. I then ran a few more pulls. My goal is to run stock at the track this summer to baseline the car, and to work on suspension/tires first, before adding power.

The difference in boost pressures was much larger than I was expecting. Several posts talk about the BM3 Stage 1 being essentially the same power and dyno results as the stock M2 tune. But that is not what I'm seeing. The Stock tune is running 12-13 psi, and the Stage 1 is 15-16 psi, with higher boost at lower RPM's. Weather was similar for both of these, about 40F ambient, and done on the same road. At that temp I shouldn't be seeing any impact from high IAT.

I'm curious as what boost other people are seeing on the stock/factory tune. I'm wondering if somehow I got a standard 235/335 tune, and not the real M2 tune.

Also, what is up with the time-stamps on the BM3 .csv files? They don't seem accurate at all. The datalog screen at bootmod.net shows most of these at ~5 seconds, which would be about right. But the 'Time' column in the .csv is showing ~15 seconds. And trying to map the vehicle speed to the timestamp to get a rough idea of power change is not accurate at all.

Is there some way to get a real time stamp on the BM3 logs? Ideally an actual clock time acurate to at least a 10th of second?

My car had 0,9 bar with stock tune and 1,2 bar with a stage 1 tune.

Thanks Westersund, that is exactly what I was looking for. Changing bar to PSI that would match up with what I'm seeing.

Can you confirm that 'stock' was the original factory tune? And not a reset from a tuned state?

It was the factory tune. No mods on the car when I bought it except the Milltek exhaust.

Thanks CanadianM2. The target boost in your stock tune datalog is about the same as mine. Your actual boost is a lot higher, but I'm guessing that's due to some effect of your FBO. In my logs they are fairly close.

So, I'm feeling a lot better that I do have the standard M2 tune.

Now I'm even more curious as to why early dyno reports said that Stage 1 was nearly the same as the stock M2 tune. I would think that an additional 3-4 pounds of boost would have a significant effect. Maybe the OTS tune has just been improved that much over the past couple years?
