stop sale they would send to the dealer. they dont have enough space to hold all the cars and if its software they can just flash the cars as part of pdi.
his delay is probably a parts supply issue.

stop sales are held at the dealer. your car is still at the plant in QC.

its not the same issue.

the current stop sale seems to be software related. it depends on how long it takes them to write and test the software. in the past it could be a week, it could be two months. these cars are shipping out but being held at the dealer.

My CA called me today and said the software issue has been resolved and they are going to deliver the stopped vehicles at the dealership in the next few days but again doesn't know why my car is stuck at the factory.
He said since it has been a few weeks he will try to get the dealership owner involved in getting some answers.

This was clearly b*llshit then. They’re still held with no contact. I’m hearing September earliest now.

he wouldn't be stuck in qc. this is something that needs to be replaced that was either missing or defective when it entered production.

they would have pushed his prod date back if it was known unavailable before prod date.

its all just in time, when something gets stuck in QC like this, its usually because unexpectedly either something didnt show up or was defective when installed. they run the car through the line and pull it off into QC to replace the missing/defective part.

unfortunately they will special order the missing/defective part, they wont pull it off the assembly line, so it could take a while, depending on where its stocked, and if the supplier needs to add it to a production run. the suppliers are all just in time as well.

I called Genius but they are useless. My dealer has blocked another one for me that is in Productions Begins status and has a production date of 9/5.
This is my build and it doesn't have anything unusual. The new build that I have does not have executive package and premium package instead and everything else is the same. I am still hoping for my original order to come first. The only thing that I have to compare is I do see very very few people who came out of QC status after 3/4 weeks too and got the car. But there is a chance that this second build my come before and I have to decide to let go of the Massaging seats
