There are no massaging seats in the second build that the dealer has assigned to me. So I am now tracking 2 builds. If this second one comes to the dealership first then I have to decide whether to take it or continue waiting for the original order.

Appears to be pretty wide spread (at least in the X7 forum). I've seen enough BMW folks in MBWorld to know that sales are being impacted!

Any update on this?

I have an M60i on order that’s currently in QC and has been since Wednesday. I know I’m not nearly as far into this as you are but this is my 6th BMW order and I’m used to going through QC in like 10 minutes. Curious to know what’s going on if anything (even though I know they’ll never tell us…).

I thought you had ordered a X7 40i last year?

Decided to go with a M60i since the 40i wasn’t powerful enough, huh?

You are correct. I was really naughty at the end of June. 😂

Loved my 40i but I accidentally drove the 8 cylinder and it was done. It was a “shut up and take my money” moment.

Nice! Hopefully, you got a good trade in value since the 40i is basically new.

Also, if my memory serves me right. You had the Silver Ash Root Open Pore Wood and were having issues with certain areas becoming discolored? If so, because of your post I decided to avoid that trim even though it is my personal favorite.

What trim is the M60i getting?

I did get a good price. Surprisingly I wasn’t underwater. I had one of those unicorns that had DHP before the option was removed from 40i’s. The dealer took it on trade early and it sold almost immediatley.

It ended up not being discolored. I felt like an idiot for asking but the bulk of my driving happened at night and it was going into winter for us around here. It wasn’t until earlier this year that I noticed how it varied based on the light. Unless in direct sunlight, the darker parts of the wood almost looked dirty or faded. It was a cool look and I really don’t intend for “dirty” to be negative; it just wasn’t the light color I had hoped it would be. On this one I went with the individual fine wood ash which is the glossy, light colored wood.

I wanted that one it’s so purrrrrdy but I just don’t want to deal with glare so we went open poor. Show off pics of your new build. Congrats on the trade.

Cancelled the order and found an almost the same car at a dealership 60 miles away. Also got 5k off MSRP, last day of the month effect Loving my new X7!!!
