Just about to start on that. One of the guys at the gym played a South American hitman last season. Don't think he speaks a word of Spanish.

I'm usually not a fan of reading subtitles or taken to Kdramas that apparently everyone likes but check this out:

Hulu

A Murder At The End Of The World

Just started watching. This looks to be a very binge worth show. It feels a little like the 'The Girl Who' series. Techy stuff mixed in with mysteries.

I saw the commercials but looks like they are only showing it on Hulu, not Fx?

Could be. I only have Hulu.

Few more episodes in now. Ya. This is a really good series. The mystery part, the who done it, they do a good job at pointing the finger at about every character. You don't know who it is, but they lead you to judge everyone and find a reason each could have done it.

But I'm sure just like every series I end up liking, it'll be too short and never come back after the first season ... but I think this is more of a miniseries. Wish it was a reoccurring thing tho.

I'm really hard of hearing so "caption on" is a normal situation for me. It turns out the mind is very adaptable. It's so normal for me that I don't even realize I'm reading the captions when I watch something. Now, when I see a foreign film with subtitles, it's as if it's in English to me.

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have no caption and good hearing, but it's amazing to me how the body adapts.

I have a hard time reading the captions/subtitles when I'm watching TV. I find myself reading instead of watching. Guess my mind is not that adaptable.

Sorry it doesn't work as well for you. I was always a fast reader.

Depending on audio quality of the voice track, captions are a must for me in most cases. I've just gotten used to it I guess.

I'm a pretty decent reader too. TBH, it kind of makes me sick after a while to read and watch, like motion sickness.

My daughter always has captions on when she watches, so I understand.

I can do it too just that I prefer to be 'more free' and concentrate more on the visuals. To be somewhat focused on the bottom of the screen requires additional energy and takes away from seeing some details on other parts of the screen, and sometimes I like to multitask and 'watching' a movie not in a language I understand makes it more difficult.

That being said, I would make the effort if the show/film is cool: this show is pretty good, you guys should check it out.

Finished season 3 of Slow Horses this week. Brit spy thriller with Gary Oldham in the lead role. His character is brilliant. Looking forward to season 4 which should be out soon. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but if you like Brit drama you might like this.

Wife and i havenot found anything we both like since Last of Us. Finally decided to give Game of Thrones a whirl. It's very good, cast is especially strong. I do feel they waffle on a bit too long and but it's at least watchable.

Dude, you just started GOT?? Wow. Ok, word of advice, forget there's a season 8...or for that matter, pretend there are only 4 seasons lol. It is simply INCREDIBLE the drop in quality, from exceptional scripts and dialogue, the best I've seen on the small screen, to total lack of basic common sense that anyone's kid could beat by just whipping up something in 5 mins. Don't even get me started on those damn annoying apologists that defend EVERYTHING that is patently asinine about the latter seasons.

I don’t think I took more than 5 breaths during this week’s show, luckily that hour flew by and felt like it was over in 20 minutes.
Juno Temple who I always loved needs some major award, along with Jon Hamm and just about everybody else this season.
Season 5 just bumped season 2 down 1 notch for me.

Ya, this season of Fargo is pretty good. Anyway, anyone know what the heck cyclops was thinking?? Talk about totally misjudging one's adversary.

I skimmed the summaries of all the seasons on wiki and still don't really remember which ones were good, how would you rank them? I only remember that s4 was crap...could someone pls tell me what was the nurse's significance? She was so freaking annoying.

They are all solid IMHO. Season 4 was my least favorite, but still good. It's a great anthology series. The casting, acting, dialogue, character development/arc, cinematography, storylines are all fantastic.

I'm intrigued by this Japanese series about a picturesque town on the surface but there is something lurking inside.

I'm looking forward to Echo on Disney +. I refused to watch any of the others on Disney+. Echo is the first Marvel series rated TV-MA to stream on Disney+. No more Mickey Mouse Marvel adaptations.
