It's time to retire the e93 as a daily driver. I'm doing some additional upgrades and when finished it should be about 650-700RWHP. I'm looking for a new DD. I'm partial to convertibles since I live in FL but I'm keeping this one so maybe it's time for a hardtop. I'm liking M4 but M3 might be more practical.

Would you look at anything else similar? Nissan GTR? Z06?

Thx

Different opinions. I'm sure everyone will feel differently about their choices and for good personal reasons. For me, this is what happiness looks like;

Had to be convertible. Had to be M. Plenty practical also. I can carry four adults no problem - same sized trunk (more or less) as the regular M4s or M3s (when the roof is up - much less room when the roof is down).

So if I need trunk space - the roof is up - no biggie.

New C63 coupe will debut this Sept at Frankfurt Auto Show. Your hp goals will be a lot easier with the AMG. GTR and Z06 are fantastic options as well.

I bet you get Zero attention in that thing. None at all.

I love it.

interesting how you talk about practicality of the M3 then throw out Z06 and GTR.

looking for a baller high HP car I'd also consider m5/6, e63AMG, RS7...

I talks to a guy who owns a 2010 GTR as well as a Z06 very and Jag Type S V8... he and both of his kids 20ish yrs old) all preferred the GTR because it was so easy to drive fast at the track.

the more I shop around the more I realize you just gotta start test driving stuff bc and go with your gut as far as how your drives go and how you feel about the looks/sound/general appeal of the car because preference is the biggest factor ultimately.

sounds like you are looking at some hot rides, have fun!

If you're looking for brute horsepower, how about a Dodge Challenger or Charger Hellcat? 707 hp should be enough.

The M3/4 is the best car in the world under 70k. Maybe 100k. Game over.
