its comical how slow these BMWs charge a phone...lol. My 2016 F10 535i was comically slow. It was enough to keep it a certain charge, but not really charge it. I got a cigarette lighter hi amp charger and put it in the glovebox. I was excited the G30 had a wireless pad. Well...that one works like the F10 charger...I can put it in at 20%..drive around a while and take it out at 22% lol. Anyone ever upgrade that charging pad? Im wondering if you can retrofit a newer pad in? Otherwise when I really need some juice, its plug it in to the hi amp charger in the glove box.

Can't help with a wireless charger but I have a super fast charger plugged into the armrest if I need to charge my Samsung S24 Ultra. You can probably find a wireless pad that sits in the cubby of the arm rest. Doubt anything out there for the location of the oem wireless charger that will fit a large phone.

Based on its speed...I would bet 5w.

I have seen aftermarket retrofit wireless charger for the G30 for people that didn't get the option. However, I am not sure what is the power output rated at.

It's pretty low...5W or 10W max. My 2019 540i has it but as a CA recently told me it's really more of a battery maintainer while you're streaming audio to the car than it is a battery charger. Either way, I like having it but it does take a while to recharge the phone.
