Cropped Video in CarPlay/Screen Mirroring
Hello.
When I watch a movie / streaming tv from my phone (via screen mirroring - with android phone or via carbridge&CarPlay - with iPhone), the picture is always cropped (even if it is widescreen on the phone). However, when I watch from usb, the picture is expanded to the whole screen. Do you know any streaming or vod apps that display video in full screen, especially in screen mirroring? |

Well, it works in fact, quite well, but for example some of vod apps, like Netflix or HBO have much better security and even though carbrigde, they do not work. So I watch those services, that work in Safari (btw. www browsing works very well). But unfortunately it crops the "phone full screen" picture (when it is 16:9 it looks fine but sides are cropped, but when it is panoramic, not only sides are cropped but also up and down, so the picture is very small).

To use screen mirroring while driving You have to code the car. To use carbridge + CarPlay You don’t have to code the car, but You have to jailbreak iPhone

If I am trying to screen mirror or stream video from my iPhone and I connect to the cars WiFi, does it require me to purchase the internet data plan?

But on android it does not require you to subscribe to the data plan. It uses the phone's data plan. |
