I'm interested in the new "Sparkling Copper Gray" color, (bottom row far left). However, looking at this color chart (from the UK) and watching videos online - I'm thinking that it is a matte color, and not as shiny as say the Skyscraper Gray. Thoughts? Do you think it is a matte finish (similar to the frozen pure gray look).

I don't know what qualifies as flat but it seems like the metal flakes give it some character. In my opinion it is more visually interesting than the chalk/crayon that is popular with another German automaker.

Don't go by the colors on BMW's configurator...they are totally inaccurate. It is not a matte color...it's a sparkling metallic color!

Brigitte, but they call Frozen Pure Grey metallic too, and it's really a matte. I've watched a lot of videos, it's hard to tell!

The fact that it has copper flakes in the paint points it to being more Metallic than matte. It's sort of a lighter version of dravit grey.

I know what you mean. However, even the name of the color says "Sparkling".

It's not easy to find pictures of that color...

This color has metallic copper flakes that show up when light hits it.
