Trunk space on X7 question
Hi everyone, does the X7 have the cargo net when the third row seats are down? I dont mean the floor cargo net but the one that clings on to the headliner. Also is there any protection available for the armrests in for third row (when folded). Love the car but will use mostly for transporting 4 people and a dog and need more rear space for luggage as well. Thanks

I concur. The exposed armrests also concerned me. Not so much our dogs, but hockey bags in and out. I’m just diligent when throwing them in there.
More often it’s random crap my kids leave behind that will ultimately wear it or damage it. Like rotting apple cores, or gum. Serenity Now!!! |

I purchased 2 small micro suede blankets that match the headliner to use to cover over the 3rd row armrest. This not only protects the leather on the armrest but also the piano lacquer wood and aluminum speaker grills. This is certainly a first world problem to have your 3rd row so opulent you need to protected it from luggage.
I was playing around with two very large suitcases we take on long road trips to see how they fit. There is significantly more room in the back of the X7 than the X5. I can’t believe these can fit upright in the back. I could take a enormous amount of extra luggage if needed. Last edited by MystroX5; 12-16-2021 at 09:47 AM.. |

I didn’t cover them in this pic. I was testing out what I would use and then ordered the blankets from Amazon. I cover all the brown Merino leather and grey suede from the window down with the blankets. It’s a cheap and very effective solution.
