Sweet Deal from the Rack......Friday 13th!!!

My car went into the shop for an issue with a door locks and a routine service.

Friday the 13th.....I get a call from the Service Mgr.

"Call me when you get this message."

Seem I am out of alignment and I have 3 bent oem 17" sport wheels and two bad runflat tires (which I think have the feel of lead shoes btw)...they quote me $1200 to make it right....I said "thanks but no thanks."

15 minutes later I have 4 new Breyton 18s...and Yokohama All seasons on the UPS truck....and I saved $200.

Thanks Tire Rack!

the point is that we have to scroll to see the whole picture, we can't get the essence that way.

Interesting, so you didn't know of any problem with the tires/wheels? If that happened to me I guess I would use the tire protection that I paid $390 for and go back to OEM. I think it's like a dental plan where they cut the benefit off at like $1200 for the life of the contract--gee, the underwriters sure made out in that case.

On a new car I prefer OEM for summers, aftermarket for the snows.....
