Like my two BMWs so much I bought two more!
The search for the miniatures was tough, but with some dedicated research and some help from E24 I now have 1:18 replicas of both the E90 and E91. The E91 model is more impressive to me, but they are both amazing detail. All doors open as do the trunks and hoods (bonnets and boots for my friends in the UK and Australia). Even the sunroof shade opens and closes. The interior is finely detailed including the walnut trim and the Roundel on the steering wheel. They even have carpet on the floor and trunk instead of a plastic surface, and get this - when the wheels turn the brakes and calipers don't. And as a bonus, I got the clear Euro lights!
First I'll start off with the real pair, for a comparison....

I'm convinced they use the real paint formula for these models. Look at the difference with the Arctic when it has more and less daylight on it... just like the real ones...

Oops... meant to add this one in the second group. This gives you an idea of the scale.

Nice models. Both were manufactured by Kyosho which produces these and other BMW models for BMW showrooms. As far as I know there are only European continental versions. Unfortunately none of them has angeleyes and diesel engines
Anyway I like them although I don't have yet an E90 model in my BMW collection. |

^ Correct. They are both Kyosho models. The Alpine White E90 I found on eBay and got from a company in California. The E91 was much more difficult to find. Fellow member and E91 owner E24 found a source in England. The gentleman in Enlgland was very nice to do business with and sent me the model as soon as he got stock.
The only complaint I have is that I'm having a hell of a time getting my bluetooth phone to work with either of them. I think they may need a software update.

The E90 is available in white or black. Here is the eBay link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll..._BIN_Stores_IT The E91 I have not yet seen in North America. I don't want to post the genleman's email address publicly (he may not mind, but I'd rather leave him some privacy). You can PM me for that if you're interested. He may also be able to obtain other colors, etc.

Now the real pain in the a** will be to find the rubber trunk mat and some mudflaps to fit the e91. At least they gave you chrome tailpipes and 17" for free. |

LZ - "some help from E24" - thanks a lot buddy. I find the damn thing and you get yours first. So is life...never fair. The model looks great in the pics. As you know we had some mix-up regarding shipping information, etc.; but the seller in England indicated to me that he may (and I emphasize may) be able to acquire most color combos (both sport and non-sport and both 325i/330i - possibly even different interiors but unsure). I'll let you be liason on this deal as my hard drive took a dump and I am once again without his contact info. BTW - I have paid for and own the real E91 buy haven't picked it up yet - hoping for this coming Friday. Will advise.
PS- You need to build a scale model garage for your models Quote:

E24 - sorry to hear about your hard drive. I also felt guilty that I got the model before you did - since it was your find. You're right, that's not fair. Do you need Neil's contact info?
P.S. What is that hideous alien creature in your avatar? Makes me want to puke.
