I probably should co post this on the x5 boards….

Anyone with ametrin have a good comp to other car colors out there. I can't catch an example on any lot around me and haven't seen one on the road in real life?

Any thoughts on how it compares to jeeps dark cherry red (her current car) would be the best…

Wife likes red cars and in photos ametrin bounces between a deep red wine to strait up purple

Backup plan is ruby red which comes with cost and time.

Amertin is the Barney Mobile. It's purple.

Don't get me wrong, it is a nice looking color, but it isn't a deep red.

Ruby Red is a beautiful color, but comes at a $5,000 expense. Wish they offered more color varieties instead of just shades of blah.

With you on the "more colors" I was hoping that adventurine would get added as it is a std color on a bunch of the rest of the bmw lineup including the iX

Attached is a picture at the time that paint protection film was applied (about one week after I picked up the X7 at the Spartanburg, SC facility).

In most lighting, I would characterize the color as burgundy. It sometimes also resembles purple. The color gets compliments frequently. When I visit the Hendricks Northlake BMW dealer, the service people indicate my Ametrim Metallic vehicle is the only one they see.
