Just got car back from bmw

I have a 07 335i took in to bmw for a diagnostic as i was getting rough idle on startup and engine management light comes on when accelerating hard. Got car back from them and oh boy lots of issues....turbos, injectors and hpfp and some minor repairs all in all about £9000.00 worth of work if getting done by bmw. Am thinking of taking out a after market warranty my car has 131k on it and after market warranty would cover 50% upto 7k what do you guys think of getting after market warranty?

I doubt everything they say is wrong with your car take it somewhere else at least for a second opinion

+1 for a second opinion at a trustworthy indy. Also, an aftermarket warranty won't help you. They'll deny just about everything, claiming it was a 'preexisting condition'. And of course, they'd probably be correct.

Nobody has seemed to ask yet...what has the dealer said the 'issues' with the turbos are?! Lol I mean if they are pulling shit outta their ass then yea get a 2nd opinion for sure anyways. The other issues are diy's and will save you 3/4 of that price and you can keep the car for a good while longer and save money in the long run.

Def DIY or ind a good Indy for second opinion and pricing - doubt the car is actually worth 9k GBP - you would be better off selling it for whatever you could get for it and buying something else.

In regards to bmw saying turbos are faulty what happens is when im pulling of at lights normally at about 10 to 15mph i get a hollow humming sound as if i have handbrake on and moving. Bmw said that so.e kind of rubber seals are broken so turbos need to be replaced.
