Best information is still the same, that LCI will start 8/2022 as model year 2023.

Admin update July 5, 2021 with more revealing pics:

Here's a best look yet the LCI X7's split level front lights, which we've also been seeing on X8 and 7-Series prototype pics. The grille also looks slightly wider and the hood and front bumper get updated designs.

At the back we can also spot some new designed rear lights together with new shaped exhaust pipes and updated rear bumper.

LCI Start of Production is August 2022 (per future model info thread)

I still get the feeling that we really don't know what the final result will look like.

I actually think the front will turn out nice. I am not a fan of the weird shape of the tail pipes. Looks super haphazard.

What a disgrace.

Current headlights were great! Current front was enough.

X7 is currently the only BMW that is big enough to wear the squinting beaver face well. I've really grown to like them.

Yeah but the new Hyundai/Kia/Genesis still don't look good
The GV80 looks a lot better than whatever BMW is trying to accomplish with this refresh.

Yeah it looks like the new Cherokee that came out a few years ago. Even jeep realized it didn't work and went to a conventional single headlight with a refresh after a few years. I must say im not happy with the direction bmw is going. What happened to the timeless and great designs the use to do. Agh

Just going off the camo pics that's a no :

The trim around the exhaust is a definite no and that double light thing is making the front face look sad and not as aggressive as it is presently. I'll wait for it to be revealed to either feel the same or change my mind

I really hated the current X7 the first time I saw it, but now I think it’s just the bees knees. Keeping an open mind here, BMW designs are often ahead of their time and seem odd at first.

Hopefully it looks better than the renders I have seen. Was interested in the X8, but really dislike the split headlights. Hopefully it looks better when we see a full reveal.

When are we getting a concept that previews BMWs new front end design direction for these mules? I had read something was coming soon. SCOTT26

Would be good to see bigger headlights, to offset the size of the grill, similar to x5

Even those that don’t like BMW’s comments how imposing the X7 is. It was a home run right out of the design gate. It’s proportions from the roundel to the grille is spot on perfect for its size.

Agree with you. I actually have the same color combo as the spy pics. I love the current headlights and was berry hesitant. Looking at these pics closely though. I'm beginning to suspect the headlights may be similar in shape and size to the existing ones and they are just incorporating an led strip turn signal above that. Not sure the point of that but may not be too bad compared to now.
