Anyone having GoPro issues?

I have a GoPro Hero 4 that I won at a christmas party and I have it paired to an iPhone 6. I can get it all setup, connected and recognized in iDrive using the GoPro app but when I start recording it always says "Starting Preview" on the iDrive screen and seems stuck there. Anyone else having this problem?

I thought it would eventually generate the preview when I started driving but nope. I played with the settings on the GoPro but to no avail.

Any suggestions guys?

Having this problem as well. The app worked fine before iOS 8 but I get no preview on the iDrive now

Never knew there was an app for that. Sorry for your troubles and don't mean to jack your thread but what are you guys using for mounts? I'm trying to find the tow hook mount for sale somewhere.

careful with the tow hook mount. the one from shiftek does not fit the M bumpers. I have been waiting since August of last year to get their updated version. I gave up sending them emails about a month ago and just bought a pvc pipe to extend their POS mount. $4 in parts at HD fixed their issue that they couldn't resolve in 6 months.

This is normal if you have set the resolution over 720 and frame rate to over 30 fps, it is just too much info to transfer real time over Bluetooth setup, and GoPro firmware also did not allow it until recent update, but BMW system probably needs an update as well.

I'm pretty sure BMW has an OEM tow-hook accessory in the parts catalog now.

I use RAM Mounts. They work very well, but trying to figure out certain mounting solutions can take creativity. 115+ mph on a very windy day - RAM mount on the roof, not a worry in the world.

Also - was wondering why my live video feed to iphone wasn't working the other day, glad someone explained that as resolution related.

I've been playing with the resolution and frame rate and still can't get the preview to work with my GoPro Hero 4. It's frustrating at this point. The camera doesn't have options below 720 reolution and 30 frames/sec. Even when set to 720/30 I still get nothing. I've contacted the BMW Genius people at my dealership but as usual they are no help in these matters lol.

Any tech geniuses out there with any other suggestions?
