No, if you have kids dig into their college funding and buy the M4 GTS; then tell them to work part time or get a full ride through college.
All kidding aside, I wouldn't. I'd keep it, and buy the M4 GTS on top of that. |

My only real issue is the the loss of the manual transmission. I find the driving experience so much more emotional and immersive. But I cant turn away teh GTS. Too damn rare, pure unicorn.

I'm always up for helping people spend their money!
The R8 V10 is no doubt a great car but personally, if you cannot get the GTS in addition to the R8 I would make the trade given the very limited amount of stateside GTS's and it's ability to hold it's value more than the R8, while still giving you some behind-the-wheel thrills. R8 US sales figures might help? http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2011/01...s-figures.html |

I think you just answered your own question, if they sent me a voucher I'd crack open the kids' college fund. |

First world problem here!
I would keep the R8 V10 just because I find it more "exotic" than the M4 GTS. Don't get me wrong, the M4 GTS would be an amazing car and even better track machine. Considering you just bought the M4, I would return the M4 for the M4 GTS if you can afford ! |

How can anyone even think of getting rid of their v10 for an m4.. I might be bias because it's one of my favorite cars and ultimately my next car when I'm ready to upgrade!

If it's about the drive no way I would sell the V10 exotic looks, and drop dead gorgeous. The M4 GTS sorry is a horrible looking car with great performance. Collector yes down the road maybe, but I buy cars for the now and not later. Good luck with your choice the V10 R8 is a hot car in my opinion.

No. I wouldn't even think about it. If you're itching to get out of the R8, get something like a Huracan. The GTS is great, but given your other vehicles, it's not one I'd pick up.
Of course this is all easy for me to figure out since I don't have GTS money. |

Why not just dump the newly purchased M4 in favour of the GTS and keep the V10?

Forget the m4 gts, I would upgrade to 2016 R8 V10.

This or keep what you've got. Unless there was a problem with the R8 I wouldn't get rid of it. What year is the R8.

since the r8 wont have a manual anymore, I don't think the depreciation on the current v10 with a manual will hit as bad. I wouldn't do it, a lot of money for a gts for what it is.....
if you REALLY want a rare, manual, fun car.... try to get a hold of a new 911 R. That car will barely ever depreciate.

I can confirm they've already been accounted for but if you're desperate enough, configurable spots can be had for approx $400k, I'm not shitting you.

Keep the R8 V10.............so much better looking. How often are you going to use the M4GTS for what it was designed? The R8 has so much more exotic road presence and the sound is wonderful. No way I'd do it.

Damn Audi dropped the manual option so no R8 for me again.
I might just take the massive hit and trade in the brand new M4. Gents do we have build windows for the GTS? I ask to hopefully have a few months to get massive cash together to take the massive depreciation. |

I am admittedly not a huge Audi fan but the answer is obvious to me. If you are comparing the R8 to the M4 then it is purely subjective to your driving style and how you like to travel. If you are comparing the R8 to the M4 GTS then you are comparing a Audi of which there have been approximately 7000 sold in the US verses a purpose built race car that has a limited production of 700 worldwide. Again, the answer seems obvious to me.
