this is a computer generated pic of the tight fit under there compared to the BMW Performance exhaust.
its needs to be bent ( SO IT WILL FIT )

A couple of things I've noticed after staring at exhaust pictures for too long.
First, I don't see (from pictures floating around the forum) the stock exhaust slip joints in the area where the BMW performance exhaust apparently connects. From what I can tell it's just a solid pipe. Can anyone confirm that there are indeed factory placed slip joints in the stock exhaust present right after the cats? Don't want to have to cut the stock pipes or anything (highly doubtful this is the case, just wanted to make sure). Second, this exhaust, as compared to aftermarket ones, replaces less pipping--I don't want to be captain obvious or anything I just wanted to make sure that everyone was comparing apples to apples. All the other aftermarket exhausts that I've seen on the forums replaces piping all the way up to the flange in front of the downpipes. This one will stop right at the cats. So the BMW performance exhaust seems to be a little more than just an axle back (necessary in order to get rid of that resonator placed in the 2-->1 junction), but not quite a full exhaust setup (that is, replacing all piping up to the downpipes). Still, a really good deal though $$$ wise compared to some of the current pricings. Plus, awesome sound! It's definitely on my go-fast-crack-pipe list. |

Dan, Can you post some other pics of the tips?
It's tough to judge the quality from the pics that you posted? Are the tips larger than the stock? Are there any pics of this installed on a car? |

^^ plz take some more pics. Maybe some on a car, or next to the other tips. Or a Hot Brazilian woman holding the exhaust, instead of the dude in the gray pants.

If you put it on your test car, can you take pics side by side of this and the stock exhaust?

As long as you are at it-
Could you please weigh both "sets" of equipment to see the net gain/loss? Give any butt-dyno results if any? Note drone issues inside and outside of the car? Loan me about $1,000 so I can buy and install this without having to tell my wife? And a +1 for the additional pic and audio/video requests. Thanks in advance. |

Update:
The car will be goig inside our shop very soon. This is a 135i with Automatic transmission and the Sports Package. Here is what I'm going to do: 1) Tech will install Performance Exhaust system, I will take pictures as he goes. 2) Exhaust will be tested for leaks or any mistakes while in the shop before test driving 3) I will take a 135i with stock exhaust, and a 135i with the performance exhaust side by side, and do video footage of rev'ing both engines (to 4.5k RPMs) 4) I will then do a drive-by of the stock and the performance exhaust. Furthermore, our dealer charges $120 an hour for labor, and I imagine it will take a few hours. Lastly, read this warranty post I made.
