HUD & Navigation...
Has anyone else encountered an issue where the Navigation directions disappear from the HUD? I went into the settings and enabled, disabled and enabled but nothing will let it return. I switch to GUEST profile and it works. Switch to Wife's profile and it works. Primary profile does not display in the HUD. I deleted my profile and then imported again but still nothing. Any ideas?

Also, did you try resetting iDrive by holding in the volume button for 30 seconds until the iDrive screen reboots? I'm guessing the security settings will probably solve your issue. If not, reboot iDrive. |

You said you deleted your profile, but then imported it again and it still did not work - yet your wife's profile worked fine. My recommendation would be to delete your profile and build a new one from scratch. For whatever reason, either there is a "small" setting that got changed in your profile that you are missing OR somehow your profile may have become corrupted. Either way deleting it and building a new one from scratch would be a good troubleshooting step (albeit a PITA to have to do).

I did all that but seems the profile is stored on the BMW site but I can't find a place to delete it there. I need to delete it at the main site then from the vehicle. I could recreate from there.

I contacted "Genius" and they said this is a dealer level issue with the ESN that needs to be reprogrammed. I don't know what ESN has to do with anything but perhaps I should call again and see if I can get a different "Genius" on the line. What exactly did you ask for and how should I request it?

Try going and editing your personal details in the website. Maybe it will steer things up. When I logged in today after the call, my car nickname, my address, my phone number and a lot of my info was reset to the info from another time. Seems to be from a backup apparently as it was 2 years old.
