Given supply constraint.

Most dealers offering 5-7% off MSRP WITH incentives..
If you can find one on the lot with the options you want, and can get 10% before incentives, I'd say jump on it.

2020 X7 40

I just got a quote for $500 over invoice +3500 incentives on a 2020 pus .9%. Seems like too good of a deal to pass up instead of getting the 2021. The incentives and financing are too good to pass up.

What is the discount percentage before invectives? What is your MSRP?

Is for that an M50i or 40i?

It's a 40i. MSRP is about 88,600z
For an "on the lot" 40i... my gut would be 15% off MSRP. There are tons of them on lots right now. My brother was looking in Minnesota... between two dealers they had 25 in the MSP area. Dealers were being aggressive.

Not sure what the market is like in Bean town but just quickly glanced at Herb Chambers and they've got 30 in stock... that's a lot of 2020s to move.

Unless it's got all the options you want, I'd press for more.

Like the other's said, that's not a super great deal.

I was able to get $150 over invoice plus $3500 incentives on an ordered 40i back in February (took delivery 3 weeks ago) and that was from my local small town dealer.
Couple of larger dealers 1-2 hours away were offering $13k to $15k off MSRP on the 40i's they had in stock back in February.
One dealer in the Bay area offered to sell me a 40i that stickered at $78k for $63k.

This is on an ordered car. I'm up against the fact that not many allocations are left.

If it's on an ordered car and they can guarantee you a production allocation for 2020 then that's an ok deal and you should probably go for it before that allocation is gone.

I have a 2020 ordered which is supposed to be coming this week. Right now I'm at about 9% off MSRP of around $92k. It's a bench on a loaded 40i msport which is hard to find on the lot.

I also have the identical car on order at another store (long story, happened by accident) but it's not assembled yet, maybe 2 weeks behind. How much leverage do you guys think I have at the first store if I'm willing to wait for the second one and walk away.

Looking at a few used 2020s with an MSRP around $81-84k with around 5k miles. Listed at $72-75K. Dealer doesn't appear to want to budge on price as it has already "been reduced." Should the dealer finally want to budge, what would be a good price I should shoot for?

thenew3 I live in the same area as you. Which dealers were offering the $13-15k discounts on new?

You can use my deal as a reference point I guess. Keeping in mind that different regions will have different pricing and discounts. I got a 10% discount before incentives on an almost fully loaded ordered 2020 40i ($100K MSRP) I ended up with a 14% discount with incentives for my case. This is in the DMV area. It took a little bit of work and bouncing between 2 dealers to get the dealer I want to buy from to get me this deal.

Looks like my 2020 allocation fell through. PM your build if you don't mind maybe I can grab whichever one you don't order! If not I'll just wait for the 2021s later in the year and hopefully they will have some more incentives.
