Notice the second row cup holder is covered in beautiful leather when optioning the Second-Row Captain's Chairs and Lavalina leather for EU bound orders. The Lavalina interior looks more premium IMO and befitting a $150K vehicle, and why BMW doesn't allow US buyers to option the Lavalina leather interiors? I wonder if a US buyer could order a XB7 for European delivery and get Lavalina leather? Probably not.

I think the XB7 in the video (at the start) is ALPINA Blue.

Does the US X7 40i/50i also still have that 12 volt plug on the floor cupholder thing? If so, couldn't we just order that part that is all leather and swap it on ours? Although it would still say XB7 but no very pronounced.

MB GLS engineers did a better job designing the second-row cup holders when optioning captain's chairs by simply integrating them with center console, keeping them much higher off the floor.

LOL, I was just about to post the same thing. Noticed it in the vid. I wonder if that's only with the Lavalina leather, though. I guess it stands to reason it would be. But maybe, just maybe, it's for all the XB7's. Hopes for the USA after all?

It doesn't look promising for US buyers of the XB7. I'm beginning to lose interest in buying one since it's much to similar to a normal X7. Other than the nice wheels and the badging you're basically buying an X7 for $30,000 extra. I know there is more to it than just exterior but BMW dropped the ball for potential US buyers as it should've been more premium than a regular X7. The Lavalina leather interior would've made that difference for me.

I agree, I wish we had the lavalina leather but there isn't much option in this size range. I actually like the very subtle exterior upgrades instead of the come look at me stuff that the Audi RS and some AMG's do.

I see your point and I'm certain you and others buying the XB7 will be happy when they arrive. I am looking forward to owner pics and reviews. Your mineral white XB7 should look great on the road.

Thanks!

Personally, I am having an internal battle between Mineral White and Tanzanite. I've always had white or black cars but that Tanzanite blue is so beautiful!

I believe most if not all of the initial photos and videos of the XB7 for the US market are Phytonic Blue which tells me BMW/ALPINA believes it is the best color to showcase the vehicle. That said, I really can't wait to see one in Mineral White. I think it will look exceptional in white.

I think TB II looks better on the Msport and Pythonic looks better on the luxury/alpina. White looks good on all but for me it's really common to see white... and black also.

This video has some of the clearest images of the Lavalina leather I've seen so far. As of now US buyers cannot option Lavalina leather.

A little taste of how the XB7 interior should look and feel. Love the ALPINA Myrtle wood trim.
