Parking- Great if you want to come out to find your car scraped up next to a chinese college student driving a Ferrari/GTR/Porsche.

joking aside..

Last winter (nonstop winter of 2015), the 88 didn't do a very good job with plowing their parking lot. some 20 year old idiot driving a 6-series with gigantic wheels and summer tires, no doubt, gets stuck causing quite a backup. Instead of doing something smart, he just keeps pushing the gas pedal, hoping that slicks on ice will somehow catch. After 2-3 min of non stop honking, some good samaritan gets out of his car, grabs some cardboard boxes from inside, and places them under the car's tires. the douche didn't even get out of his car to help.

I like this thread !

1. Brown Suger cafe in Allston by the paradise rock club. Great food here I go a few times a month, always consistent and not crazy expensive if you stick to a few dishes. I tend to Order like one of everything so it's like $30 a person. Parking sucks your on the street on meters, you can however park on Babcock street across from brown Suger for free once you pass the meters and there's less traffic. Good Thai food!

2. pellana steakhouse (9 sylvan st Peabody, Ma). One of my favorite steak houses, had to be the best steak I have ever had. Parking is great they have a large lot, park yourself as one of the valets didn't know how to drive a stick "the first and only time I let a valet try to park my car" . Expect to pay at at least $100 per person with a drink.

3. My second favorite steak house, Smith and Wollensky (in the back bay, they have 2 locations though). This place is very cool looking. Looks like a castle inside and out. Great steak and sides ( not as consistent as capital grill). Parking isn't the greatest as most of its street parking, they also do offer valets. Expensive as well 100+ a person with drinks!

Man now I'm hungry! Jeez

Casa De Pedro, Watertown: Venezuelan cuisine, near the Arsenal mall. Around 30 a person without drinks. I always grab the El Gaucho skirt steak there. Parking is decent in the back lot, and some end spaces in the main strip.

Brown sugar cafe is awesome! Also, went to Barcelona for brunch on Sunday. Lamb sliders + steak and eggs will never disappoint. They also have live Jazz on Sundays.

I personally didn't care for Brown Sugar. It is consistent though. Ordered papaya salad and salty as hell every time. The ex loved going there though. The best part is when someone has a birthday there.

I fucking love brown sugar!!!

The song is ok.

I've never eaten at the restaurant.

Originally he named is 'black pussy' but changed it. Good as it wouldn't have gotten airplay.

Nothing like having a popular song about a white slave owner raping his female black slaves. I'm still amazed it's played as it's damn obvious what is going on

"Scarred old slaver knows he's doin' all right
Hear him whip the women just around midnight

Brown Sugar, how come you taste so good
Brown Sugar, just like a young girl should

Drums beatin' cold, English blood runs hot
Lady of the house wonderin' when it's gonna stop"

My family and I went to Wahlburgers in Hingham today. The burgers are good and the side portions are huge.

I actually designed the HVAC for that place. Here are some other restaurants I designed:

Aquitaine at the Legacy Place in Dedham
Met Club at the Legacy Place
Met Club on Newbury Street
Wahlburgers in Hingham
Alma Nove in Hingam
Tezmacal in Boston
Five Guys in Saugus
Casa B in Somerville
Kika in Kendall Square
Raagini in Andover
Cinquecento in Boston

If you've been to any one of those and have been too hot or too cold, I apologize.

Glad to hear!
Yeah, they are definitely pricey. We spent almost $60 for two adults, a 4 year old, and a 20 month old.

You would think with the name and the TV show it wouldn't need to be so pricey...

I live one block from Deuxave and have yet to try it but it's def on my list.

Sonsie on the other hand I have been dragged to a couple of times for brunch and every time the food has been decent but way overpriced. It is definitely the kind of place that people go to just to be seen. Especially during the summer when they open the sidewalk doors.

Restaurants I've been into recently:

The Beehive - Brunch
Sapporo Ramen (Porter Square location)
Mela - Indian food
Helmand - Afghan food
Addis Red Sea Restaurant - ethopian food

I guess I can chime in here after living in the city for the better part of the last 7 years. A few favorites:

1. The Dumpling Cafe (Washington St., Chinatown)
2. Nebo (Atlantic Ave, Financial District)
3. El Centro (Shawmut Ave, South End)

We live in Dorchester so there's a bunch of good spots down near us + Quincy / Milton but not sure if people are interested in those recommendations...

Quincy kid right here!

Side note if you were to want Soup Dumplings I would recommend Tai Pei Cafe in Quincy over The Dumpling Cafe.
