1,500 Loyalty Rebate
.00190 MF
53% Residual
7,500 Miles a Year
$0 Down

Also what is a good price for the brakes/rotors maintenance 3yr/36K Miles and a tire/wheel package with unlimited claims which is not included in the price?

I gave up.

Just going to buy my 2019 40i for $43K, get an extended warranty, and let the dust settle on the LCI for 1-2 years. It's what my dealer is encouraging me to do anyway, like BMW knows things are going to be this crazy for 12-24 months.

I got quoted an APR of 5.29% earlier today for financing. I was thinking of financing $25k (minimum they will finance) for 6 months (minimum term required before you can repay without penalty) to get $750 loyalty but the loyalty only just covers the interest charge. I asked my CA if that was a marked-up APR...waiting to hear....

It is a marked up APR. BMWFS base rate is more like 3.99. You could finance it and then either pay it off within 3 months without any risk to the loyalty credit.

The dealer finance guy called me back and said 4.99% is the rate for people with good credit. He said 5.29% is the headline rate that they quote people first given not everyone has good credit. Needless to say I am pretty suspicious about that explanation...obviously makes sense to advertise the bad rate first....ahem...

3.99% was certainly last month's rate but now none of the BMW websites are showing that as available for a current purchase. I suspect the base rate is now higher, but how high?

I was quoted 5.4% through BMW financing and I have a 835 credit score. They said they don't mark up the rate and I know they are full of it. Have gone to my local credit union and locked in 3.2% for 72 months.

BMW USA website still showing 3.99% as the base rate. All those dealers are full of it, marking up like crazy. Don't give them the business guys. Either go through a credit union or find another dealer willing to play ball.

My dealer is buying my car out at end of lease and giving me $10,000 to apply to a new purchase of an X7. Does the $350 disposition fee on the lease apply in this case? Thanks.

Credit unions are the right way nowadays. I locked on 2.24% in my regional credit union. Before COVID, I used to go to the credit union and get the cash benefit from the dealer.

no, 350 only applies if you turn the car in and walk away

Considering the fact that the Prime rate has gone up three times in the last three months, I can see a possibility of BMW increasing its financing rates monthly as well. Not 100% sure about it but it would make sense to tie their financing rates to an index. It remains fixed after the financing is in place.

For those who received a $2000~3000 discount off the MSRP, did you negotiate that before placing the order? I placed a $1000 deposit already and awaiting a delivery next week. Do I have any leverage here since I'll be losing that deposit if I refuse to purchase at MSRP (which I won't =p )?

Typically no…. Any leverage you MIGHT have would come in the form of a quote from another dealer for a discount under MSRP and your willingness to forfeit the deposit and wait another 1-2 months for a new order.

always negotiate before. you dont really have leverage now, if you walk, you lose your deposit and they can sell the car easily. if they are charging MSRP, they will make MSRP plus your forfeited deposit when they sell the car to the next person.
and with the current market the supply is still lower than demand.
