My sound system got an automatic upgrade!

I had my new 325i Premium Package for a few months and enjoying the stereo system and one day it just stopped working. I couldnt get any power to the stereo and I was ready to take it back to the dealer. Later that day it started to power up again and I went thru the options to adjust the sound. All of a sudden I had Logic 7! I could access the equalizer functions and the sound quality had increased dramatically! I had no access to the equalizer before and no Logic 7...now I do! My enjoyment in driving this car has just doubled due to the enhanced sound. Anyone experience this strange happening?

Even if your head unit was suddenly Logic7 capable, you're short 3 speakers...

That's what I said when it happened! The sound is soo good now that I drive around just to crank some tunes!

How many speakers total is Logic 7 supposed to have?

This makes no sense. You must have received a Logic 7 head unit by mistake -- it's BMW's loss!

if your non-logic 7 became a logic 7, then all of our non-logic 7 head unit could be a logic 7??? can you find out for sure......

13 total, 3 additional over the standard system. One in each rear door and one in the top center of the dash.

i think you guys are being a little silly. obviously speakers didnt grow from thin air.
but is it possible he got the eq and/or other settings that make the logic special?

well the standard 325i doesn't come with the Logic7 system... You mentioned that you have the "premium package 325i" the canadian premium package comes with the Logic7 system upgrade...So i'm thinking that you have Logic7 , but originally the Logic7 wasn't working , but then after the "system shut down" it began to work...

Yep, Nick is right. You didn't magically get Logic7 and the sun didn't just start shining out my ass. It has always been so.

I guess you guys are right. I didnt know the Canadian premium package 325i's came with Logic 7. I know for sure that I didnt have access to the equalizer etc. before and now I do. I do have the speaker on the dash...are the subwoofers under the seat? Thanks for your feedback!
