How does that make the S5 quicker?

Sure, the S5 is 0.1 sec faster to the 1/4 mile line because of the AWD launch. By the time they cross the line, they are doing the same speed.

Rule of the drag strip: trap speed tells you which car is faster. so they are pretty much even.

Dragstrip will always even up the advantage that AWD gives a car, on the street on a normal non-sticky surface the S5 will be quicker. Surely when you guys want to race you don't say 'want a race but only on a dragstrip'. Another thing I notice, BMW drivers prefer to do rolling starts, I wonder why.

Go see the M5board videos. I have never seen an Audi win. They get whipped by EVERYTHING. Anything above 60 mph is a disaster for Audi. Show me one video where an RS4 has won in high speed runs.

Hell the RS4 even lost against the ML63! Lost to a truck with the aerodynamics of a brick!

If you compare an A4 with and without quattro the difference is roughly 120 lbs.

I am glad that I am getting an M3 instead of a 335i and they in general are a better class of people, that extra money must be buying me into the professional class of person.............instead of working people which you lot are clearly in.

Check out the title of the thread, who was making fun of who. All I was doing from the off was point out that the S5 is no better or no worse than the 335i only different, some others here were making it into more than it was, namely T-Bone.
