Throttle not working and RPMs fluctuating
I'm rescuing a BMW 330i 2012 E90 that was on a flood but need some help. I already started the car but something strange is happening with the throttle. The RPMs at idle keeps fluctuating between 700 and 1800 RPM and the throttle doesn't do anything, I already checked the scann tool but the only codes related to it are that Throttle Position Sensor Switch A and Switch B has a low voltage.
Any help on this kind of issue please? |

If the pedal is NOT pressed, the DME should be receiving signals that the Accelerator is "OFF" or in idle position, and control idle speed without regard to throttle pedal position. If all is working correctly, you should have steady idle speed as regulated by the DME, so the fact that you do NOT, and also have one or more of the ~ 8 different P-codes for Throttle Sensor/ Potentiometer Faults suggests a problem with the Accelerator Pedal Module, particularly if that part of the car was "underwater." It would be helpful to know WHICH of the ~8 Faults you have related to that module/sensor. Here is a site for "looking up" P-codes or BMW FCs: http://www.bmwfault.codes/ Here are TIS circuit diagrams for Accelerator Pedal Module (Component B10), Module 1 of DME to which the Accelerator Pedal Module is Connected via Connector X60001, and the Power Supply to DME: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...module/qA8msAT https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...l-unit/i6jSpwF https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...l-unit/hqIOB9Z https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e90-330i-lim/vEmrLZy I don't think you have a Power Supply to DME issue, but I link the circuit for Modules 2, 3 & 4 and the K6300 DME Relay/ Fuse 37 just in case. INPA can provide readout of Accelerator Pedal Module Sensor signals, and Bentley Manual provides test voltage values/ranges at page 130-16, p. 269 of pdf: Accelerator Pedal Module(FPM), 6 Wires, (B10, X11400): ELE-134, p.1093:See the attached pdf for E9x References, including site from which to download Bentley Manual pdf, TIS home page, BMW Fault Code Lookup, etc. George |

Just a small question in the meantime: Why the valvetronic could be involved in the Idle RPMs fluctuating issue? Last edited by josehf34; 04-23-2019 at 04:22 PM.. |

Ok so I’m in home now, started the car and the idle is still fluctuating but If I put the car on Drive or Reverse the RPMs get stable at 1400RPM, pretty strange to me
Also these are the codes that are showing up: ABS: 5E19 DME: P0122 P0222 P1632 P0118 00,05,16,4c(P164c) I’m having multiple electrical issues like some turn lights and beams not working, power seats not working and this issue with the engine, I already checked fuses and everything seems to be in order there but I don’t remember where I read that there’s a module near the fuse box in Charge of the power distribution I think it's the Junction Box. So maybe That could be involved on my issue? Last edited by josehf34; 04-23-2019 at 10:59 PM.. |
