[QUOTE=AmuroRay;30128520]Ugly, expensive garbage. I hope this car fails and BMW pulls it and reevaluates their brand.
What do you drive as a daily and what’s your “this is my baby car”?

I did a test drive and yeah, it is a nice vehicle. It rides well, and maybe that would upset those desiring a M type firmer car.
Would I buy one? No, I have two cars to split the tasks of sport or utility. If you can only have one auto, here is what BMW has to offer, leaning to the sport side in an SUV. |

It’s actually fun to drive, at least for a daily. Now if you’re looking for BMW pure M performance then you’d be disappointed.

This is one of the nicer photos I have of the vehicle.

Congrats! I thought it looks way more normal than I was expecting. I agree, white and black are probably the best colors. I saw a black one while commuting from Tysons’s to Reston last week….I live very close to the Galleria 🙂

Anyway, I think calling it XM is the issue, since it implies a halo vehicle, but it is not at that level of performance. It seems like a good high end DD. But the fact I have seen 2 in one week in a small metro area, tells me it might end up selling quite well… |

"But that does not apply to the new BMW XM. It's just ugly, thanks to a design language that doesn't appeal to anybody else other than a 3-year-old."
https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news...ca1a905d&ei=17 Although I have to disagree with one thing. I actually thought a bunch of odd shapes that don't compliment each other in any way was cool until I was about 7 years old, not 3. |

One the aspects of BMW that I will always admire and respect, is the fact that their engineers aren’t afraid to innovate. I don’t love the look of the XM, but I can appreciate the engineering contained therein and looks are clearly, subjective.
Sometimes BMW punts it - a friend just bought an iX xDrive 50 and I was not impressed at all. I can think of a lot of cars (new or used), I’d rather have for $103k. He’s happy, so who cares?
