I believe XM will be getting a software update to enable remote parking via the mybmw app as shown on on this video

I have the latest software (03/2023.30), can’t find any information, my dealer thought it should already have it but doesn’t exist yet.

Latest iLevel is S18A-23-03-553 which translates to 03/2023.53.

I'm not sure that we'll get that...At the moment, I don't see it in mybmw app unless the option appears only when a parking spot is available. I also haven't configured a digital key yet.

I'm afraid this may not be available on the XM. I had it on the iX already but as far as I can see, only Park Assist plus is available on the XM, not Pro. It may be included in the pro. Both the iX and i7 both show this option in the app, but nothing at all for the XM.

I have a small fear that the hardware in the XM is not the very latest gen. The i7 drive is much snappier, it has the augmented reality in the drivers cluster. XM drive seems a bit laggy and no such augmented option on the centre screen, only the media screen.

I'd love it if I was wrong!

I think you’re probably right. The 2023 iX had augmented reality in the center screen and then AR was implemented in the cluster in the 2024 model. I notice that iDrive is quite laggy / slow-ish as well and suspect they went to prod with the 2023 XMs using previous HW, and would bet that means we won’t be seeing upgrades to features on 2023.

You’re correct about Park Assist Plus vs Pro. Plus offers what we have on XM. Pro offers memory, remote parking control, etc. IIRC park assist plus was what was on the 2023 X5 etc, and park assist pro is on the 2024 models. It’s fundamentally a different option, and seems like it’s showing up on 2024s. Can imagine why BMW would upgrade a 2023 XM with a new option that wasn’t purchased, so I’d suspect Park Assist Pro will only be available on 2024 models forward. Will be interesting to see if that includes the 2024 Label Red I guess.

Thanks guys, I didn’t know about Parking Assistant Plus vs Professional. But there might be hope as I believe XM has all the hardware for parking and hopefully they will offer to add the parking professional under ConnectedDrive Store. I read few other threads and pointed to the following reference (not yet listed for XM)

Well it seems we have PRO according to bmw canada

But the trailer assistant is mentionned and there’s no hitch available in North America yet, so to be taken with a grain of salt.

Unfortunately that is driving assistant pro, not park assist pro.

I have an android phone and the option isn’t showing. I tried my ipad and the option doesn’t appear.

The options appears on the 50e on my ipad, not on android yet. But nothing for the XM
