Key point now could be that a large majority of luxury car owners would never buy an American car or truck.

I know tons of people who would spend 90k+ on a Tesla or European car but wouldn't even consider spending 40k on a truck, especially if it's American.
Europe maybe. And California because they thoroughly dislike America and everything American. But the rest of the US? Good luck.

I own an X5M and a Ford Superduty. By the way, a Limited trim Superduty typically costs more than a M car, just FYI.

I like how it has Rolls Royce tail lights.

I'm not hating it at all. But this is not a truck, the bed is too short. But if it does come out at least start it in the 50k range.

Looks like a rehash of the Chevy avalanche/Cadillac ext from 10 years ago with less utility. Which was just on jalopnik this morning. Also, what full size truck costs $40k that is not a commercial work truck? Most are $50-60k...

Raptor is cool and all but I can't live with that plastic box interior. I don't care how much leather they throw on the seats, it still reeks of Ford "quality" inside.

Yeah I'm a snob...for quality and craftsmanship.

If there are buyers out there BMW should build it. That's capitalism.

Gotta admit, I kind of dig it. 1000x better than that Tesla abomination called a "truck". That said, I would probably never buy this over an American made truck or Tundra/Tacoma.

I bet it doesn’t have a spare wheel.
BMW is hilarious with its SAV without a spare tire. How you can go off road (in the middle of nowhere) without a spare? You can not go with these cars anywhere even far too much because you are doomed. That RFT harsh ride explanation is also hilarious, what is 80 km radius in a country like Canada for example? I am going for a hike or a ride at least 150-200 km away from town every time. RFT is a terrible joke not to mention the absolutely awful ride and the high cost of these terrible tires.
Probably that’s why you need that motorcycle in the back!?

Put the bloody spare wheel back in the trunk BMW!

Indeed a pickup over 5 metres in length and yet it doesn't fit, pointless putting it there.

If it weren't for Tesla pushing the envelope and doing ridiculous stuff, bmw would not even make this one-off. Competition is good. But also, bmw has less than zero interest in bringing this to market. Literally people could put cash offers on these in quantity and bmw would decline. Also, what happened to the bmw halo car? Oh that's right we already forgot about it and so did bmw

This is just BMW taking a damaged X7 and making another pickup for fun.

BMW did the same thing to several damaged M3's over the years.

If they are going to do a truck, re-invent it, don't just chop off a SUV. I would like to see something more inspired by performance off road rally racing, now that would get my attention.

Very funny! English is my fifth language for what is worth, yet, I don”t see your point. Where are my grammar problems?
Never thought that I need to be a kindergarten teacher and need to explain all logical steps to my conclusion, but here we go: this truck is based on an X7 vehicle, so what the heck are you saying anyway? Do you have pictures from under this vehicle? With that small bed you think they fit in there the X7 exhaust and the proper spare wheel?
My comment made a generic point anyway and if you pay attention to the text, I am CLEARLY pointing the term SAV. Got it? Please go and read about the BMW SAV lineup.
And once I said “in the trunk” what your English is telling you anyway? Do you need a dictionary? En francais peut-etre?

Please refrain in making comments about BMW owners education, your condescending unjustified attitude is hypocritical to say the least!
Keep it professional anyway. If you have that level of maturity...
