No 40i laserlight?
I notice when configuring the X7 40i, you dont get the option of the executive package or the option for laserlight.
I'm submitting my order tomorrow (already approved for lease) but waiting to see if there's some way to add the laserlight to the build. Either way, super excited! Going phytonic blue with coffee extended merino. |

The laser light on 40i is available in other markets including Canada. Bmw told me they felt they would not have enough parts supply if they made it available in the USA, so I have to think it will be available in USA on 4.0i in the future

Hey, actually looks like I'm having to stick with mineral white also. No phytonic blue after being told it was an option. Also no BMW individual options.
Lease is: MSRP : 88195 15k down 15k miles per year 1142.89 per month. |

15K as in cap cost reduction including lease fees, state taxes, titles etc? That's a sizable down for just cap cost on a lease.

You could finance it with that much down for not much more... these lease deals are alarming.

The 15k down included all of the usual lease fees (i think those were close to 7-8k). Just chose to put a little more down there to bring the payment down to a reasonable amount. Pretty much ticked all of the boxes you could without the msport options.
And I know I could finance, but these things (new cars) tank in value anyways and if I like it I can buy it out at the end of it. |

Just noticed that bmwusa build tool is no longer showing laser light as an option on the 50i. Executive package has been removed as an option (where laser light was previously included) and glass controls + led skylounge roof now are only available as standalone options. Weird.

Wow, so no more laser lights on X7 at all.Anyone know why?
Was anyone lucky enough to order a 50i with executive package? Have they changed your build? |

As I said before, they were not available on the 40i because of supply constraints. So it probably got worse and BMW might be allocating them to markets where they can work at full power or 600m range For us they are turned down to 300m range.

I have the executive package on my 50i build and it just went into production yesterday. I did a VIN lookup and laser lights are still there.
Laser lights are still available for the X5 in the US so while I understand the point about supply chain constraints, this is just a bad look from a branding perspective. |

Please do not put $15k down on a lease. Worst financial decision you could make.

Having said that, it's pretty common to be paying MSRP, so that may negate any discernible benefit. Anyone have any comments on Dynamic Handling? I was thinking that I should get it for a car this large. |
