I feel the same way. I asked for a work up on a lease and they rolled the entire trade into the lease. Why would I give you all that money, just to give you the car and get nothing in return in 2-3 years? I'd rather keep and invest the money. If I had to draw out of it slowly to help cash flow the lease payment, that's fine. I'd rather do that per month than all up front, like you said. Especially now that a CD will pay 4-5%.

Exactly. I have a bunch of cash in American express personal savings that is currently paying 3%. And, it can be transferred in/out easily.

Damn. What credit union is that.

Two of the more popular CUs where I live have rates in the high 4s and 5s for 60 months.
